Little info about a Phoenix

As the graceful phoenix soars through the sky, a magnificent rainbow trail is left behind...

{The Phoenix is a mythical sacred firebird, with golden/red plumage. It's lifespan is normally 500-1461 years and it has the ability to be reborn after the end of it's life-cycle. Another ability of it is regeneration. It can heal itself when hurt or wounded, making it almost immortal and invincible. The Phoenix is a symbol of fire/divinity and it's tears are able to heal wounds...as shown in a couple of the Harry Potter series}

One Worlds' Event + Parents' Forum o.o

Whoah...School has just reopened for a few weeks and I have already attended two major events. One World Day as well as Parents Forum. Hmmmm I shall start with the more recent one first since my memory about it is clearer. Actually it was just a few hours ago and I am now blogging about it in the library ^^ sitting down, watching Swan Princess with my friend while she waits for her camera to be charged (and freezing my ass off).

Well for One World Day, I was part of a group called Stompers. No people, for those who are thinking we start stomping around it's so not the case. Remember the musical called Stomp? We are named after that musical. The whole group of us (Me, plus two other Year-1s as well as 4 Year-2s, all of us being from DMC) were carrying pails, pots n a wastepaper basket, all being whacked by drum sticks. Oh and quite ironically, i was the smallest in terms of size, yet I carried the largest pail to hit. Hmmm....my right arm was aching after that cause it was used to carry the pail whilst my left arm was used to hit. *groans* and that was when we were still in rehearsal!!!
Anywayz before that...whilst waiting for the actual event to start...we were literally stoning around...and I was having hunger pangs >_> dammit =( Well, before we knew it we got the show on the road. First item...us...it was a combined performance by us Stompers (Mixed), the Daiko drummers(All females) and the Chinese Orchestra Drummers (All males). The performance went pretty well though i'd say...no one could tell that we sort of screwed up a bit. The timing was a little off and lucky for me I wasn't the one who started it off so there was just that teensy bit of time for me to recover and get myself back on track.
After us, it was a dance performance by some...Year-twos i think...not sure if they were in their second or third year. But yeah there were 3 pairs who went up to dance: one was ... err..indian? arabian? i had no idea...next was a pair dressed in some chinese style but I couldn't remember what song was used...now the last pair was probably the most striking. They used Michael Jacksons' "Beat It" to dance to...as a finale, all 3 pairs joined in and started groovin' to the beat.
I just had fun standing by the side and watching....before I ran into Kylie and went off for lunch...
Yeah yeah i skipped Economics lecture....but hey!! I have an excuse okay?? LOA (Leave of Absence) cause I was involved in One World Day!! Had the badge to prove it ^^Kylie did not though...oh well...it was her one and only time which she skipped lecture so i guess they wouldn't really bother...=) LUCKY YOU KYLIE!! Lunch was horrendous though...I was so hungry that I couldn't eat -_-" okay okay i know my body is weird! I know my body has...well...issues...ahh heck! Must be my JC life that made me this way...sianzzzzzzzz
So anyway, Kylie and I walked around to check out the various booths...she took a few free food samples...which I outright refused to...cause I simply do not enjoy snacks. I did, however, try out the fish crackers...tasted strange...perhaps I just was not accustomed to the taste. Oh and the korean making doll session was quite nice to watch...
Finally it was over and Kylie and I decided to stone inside the former Biz IT library...XD
That's all for the event ^^
Now...Parents Forum...I literally spent my whole time inside the classroom that I was stationed at taking photos. I was assigned to T2127...where the DADP people were...(Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology) I was watching Forum Theater throughout the entire time...both the rehearsals and the actual performance...after awhile I realized I was photographing the same thing over and over and over and over again. I thought to myself...better change angle...so I hopped over to my friend's side who was taking a video of the entire play. However I have to admit it was quite interesting...Forum theater.
Forum theater is about the characters acting out a problem which is never solved. During the first round of acting, audiences are to...well...put it simply, act as audiences. Sit down and watch. Get the idea of the play's story. However during the second round of acting, audiences can shout freeze at any moment, in which the characters will freeze. They are then able to replace any one of the characters to provide a solution to the problem which the play was trying to portray. I had to admit it was a pretty cool scenario. Using acting to solve a problem, instead of some scientific logical explanation. I absolutely love it XD

Okay I know I'm sorry it's a really really overdue post. But i was busy =( haha okay ciao peeps~~
