~Firstly, i got a reali reali bad throat...tell u i was coughing like crazy...thank goodness it din affect my singing though...juz a little. My range was slightly limited because of the endless phlegm in my throat. Juz 4 yer info, i nv cough out the phlegm...i swallow it back. My aunt says that's cute! N i was like...right...that is the main cause of why my throat takes a longer time to heal than others...i dun cough the germs out but i swallow them back in...
~We sang at the Hospital...can't rmb the name...it was reali sth new for me...i've sang at concerts before...but not at a Hospital. It was different singing outdoors...we had 2 create a larger sound...because there weren't any echos and we wud sound very dispersed. It was rewarding to hear the claps from the senior folks...we shook hands with them and even gave them some souveniers...actually it was a keychain but hey! It's the thought that counts =)
~Because i had 2 conserve my voice...i couldn't talk so I resorted to using my handphone as a form of communication. The first time i did that in front of my teacher, he was like: dun tell me u're gonna' use that to communicate!" i merely smiled n he went: oh no!" I giggled. I was reali thankful for my concerned friends...Benny, Eli, Pei pei n Sammy! This Finland trip has reali bonded all of us 2gether...well maybe not all of us...my friend said she could understand my pain cause i talk a lot...n for a person like me...losing her voice is no joke... =P
~ Of course...the last day we sang at a Church Mass...that was an unforgettable moment...well ok partly cause my nose started bleeding halfway n i was trying to stem the bleeding. Sheesh! We sang 4 songs...with the last one being our most favourite of course...btw we sang that song at the Hospital as well. Everyone enjoyed it...we shook hands with the Priest n received blessings personally from him, which i found a privilege to experience. There was this lady, i remembered, who was close to crying. Her father had moved on to the Other Side juz the day b4 we sang at the Church...she commented our voices were like angels singing in the sky...I was so moved i nearly cried myself.
~I thought that was the last of it. However...something stupid happened in the plane...my head got knocked by the food trolley...think there was internal injury cos i had a reali bad headache. I couldn't tell u how glad i was when i found my mum waitin for me at the airport for the first time. N juz 2 think that before the trip i was chasing her away...now i was jumping for joy when i saw her...haha
Yeap! THat's about it for Finland...there were many minor events...like funny times i shared with my friends...gossiping in the toilet...the experience was truly enjoyable and once-in-a-lifetime. I'm reali glad i went to Finland...in the meantime...ciao!
