Little info about a Phoenix

As the graceful phoenix soars through the sky, a magnificent rainbow trail is left behind...

{The Phoenix is a mythical sacred firebird, with golden/red plumage. It's lifespan is normally 500-1461 years and it has the ability to be reborn after the end of it's life-cycle. Another ability of it is regeneration. It can heal itself when hurt or wounded, making it almost immortal and invincible. The Phoenix is a symbol of fire/divinity and it's tears are able to heal wounds...as shown in a couple of the Harry Potter series}

Sound Horizon

KONBAWA!!! XDXD Haha sorry been listening too much to Japanese music these days =) My gosh. Anywayz today I will be blogging about two things: Sound Horizon, a J-Pop Band, and Diablo, a book/game =] Sooo...let's not waste any time shall we people? *flexes her fingers* IKUYO!!!!

~~Sound Horizon~~

omgomgomgomgomgomg! Tell you ever since I heard a combined performance by Kajiura Yuki and Sound Horizon, a song which goes by the name of Sajin No Kanata E, I have been absolutely, 100%-ly, definitely hooked onto Sound Horizon. I really really really <3>
Just a little background on Sound Horizon...sry had to get it from wiki cause i can't read japanese for nuts...so it might not be too accurate.

Anyway just a little brief intro abt them. They're a Japanese musical group also known as Sanhora by fans and we have Revo as their leader. Not surprisingly they call themselves the 'fantasy band' which I find really suits their kind of songs...if you're an avid listener of their songs you would definitely know what i mean =] If you are not...GO CHECK IT OUT!! Revo-Sama(sry my friend influenced me into calling him tt) first released his music creations on his webby in 1990s (gosh tt was when I was born). Sound Horizon participated in Comic Market(or Comiket: the world's largest handmade comic book fair) as part of a doujin circle and that was when their first story CD ~Chronicle~ was released. It was an all-instrumental track CD with occasional narraation, background chorus + sound effects. Only in their second album (Thanatos) onwards did they begin to include actual singing. Their first major release was in 2004: Elysion ~Rakuen e no Zensōkyoku~ (lit. Elysion ~Prelude to Paradise~)

To date they have 6 Doujin albums, 6 Major released albums and 4 Collaboration albums.

***Doujin Albums***

* 1st Concept Story CD (plus) 「Chronicle」 (December 30, 2001)
* 2nd Story CD 「Thanatos」 (August 11, 2002)
* 3rd Story CD 「Lost」 (December 12, 2002)
* 1st Pleasure CD 「Pico Magic」 (May 4, 2003)
* 2nd Pleasure CD 「Pico Magic Reloaded」 (August 17, 2003)
* 1st Story Renewal CD 「Chronicle 2nd」 (March 19, 2004)

***Major Release Albums***

* Elysion ~Rakuen e no Zensōkyoku~ (lit. Elysion ~Prelude to Paradise~) (October 27, 2004)
* 4th Story CD 「Elysion ~Rakuen Gensō Monogatari Kumikyoku~ 」 (lit. Elysion ~Paradise Illusion Story Suite~)(April 13, 2005)
* 1st MAXI Single CD 「Shōnen wa Tsurugi wo... 」 (October 4, 2006)
* 5th Story CD 「Roman」 (November 22, 2006)
* 1st Story Maxi CD 「Seisen no Iberia 」 (August 1, 2007)
* 6th Story CD 「Moira」 (September 3, 2008)

***Collaboration Albums***

* Leviathan Image CD 「Shuumatsu wo Tsugeshi Kemono」
* Gunslinger Girl Image Album 「Poca felicità」
* Shimotsuki Haruka † Revo Collabo CD 「Kiri no Mukou ni Sunagaru Sekai / 霧の向こうに繋がる世界」(lit. schwarzweiß ~Worlds Connected Beyond the Mist~) (June 14, 2006))
* Revo x Kajiura Yuki 「Dream Port」

**Information would be credited to WIKIPEDIA =)

My favourite albums would be Moira, Roman, Seisen No Iberia and oh yes! Dream Port! Cause the VERY first song I heard was from there...Sajin No Kanata E~~ Soo if you're an avid fan of fantasy and love J-Pop, go onto youtube or any video sharing site or even IMEEM and check out their songs =) In the meantime, nurvy here signing out~~ ciaos! =D

One Worlds' Event + Parents' Forum o.o

Whoah...School has just reopened for a few weeks and I have already attended two major events. One World Day as well as Parents Forum. Hmmmm I shall start with the more recent one first since my memory about it is clearer. Actually it was just a few hours ago and I am now blogging about it in the library ^^ sitting down, watching Swan Princess with my friend while she waits for her camera to be charged (and freezing my ass off).

Well for One World Day, I was part of a group called Stompers. No people, for those who are thinking we start stomping around it's so not the case. Remember the musical called Stomp? We are named after that musical. The whole group of us (Me, plus two other Year-1s as well as 4 Year-2s, all of us being from DMC) were carrying pails, pots n a wastepaper basket, all being whacked by drum sticks. Oh and quite ironically, i was the smallest in terms of size, yet I carried the largest pail to hit. Hmmm....my right arm was aching after that cause it was used to carry the pail whilst my left arm was used to hit. *groans* and that was when we were still in rehearsal!!!
Anywayz before that...whilst waiting for the actual event to start...we were literally stoning around...and I was having hunger pangs >_> dammit =( Well, before we knew it we got the show on the road. First item...us...it was a combined performance by us Stompers (Mixed), the Daiko drummers(All females) and the Chinese Orchestra Drummers (All males). The performance went pretty well though i'd say...no one could tell that we sort of screwed up a bit. The timing was a little off and lucky for me I wasn't the one who started it off so there was just that teensy bit of time for me to recover and get myself back on track.
After us, it was a dance performance by some...Year-twos i think...not sure if they were in their second or third year. But yeah there were 3 pairs who went up to dance: one was ... err..indian? arabian? i had no idea...next was a pair dressed in some chinese style but I couldn't remember what song was used...now the last pair was probably the most striking. They used Michael Jacksons' "Beat It" to dance to...as a finale, all 3 pairs joined in and started groovin' to the beat.
I just had fun standing by the side and watching....before I ran into Kylie and went off for lunch...
Yeah yeah i skipped Economics lecture....but hey!! I have an excuse okay?? LOA (Leave of Absence) cause I was involved in One World Day!! Had the badge to prove it ^^Kylie did not though...oh well...it was her one and only time which she skipped lecture so i guess they wouldn't really bother...=) LUCKY YOU KYLIE!! Lunch was horrendous though...I was so hungry that I couldn't eat -_-" okay okay i know my body is weird! I know my body has...well...issues...ahh heck! Must be my JC life that made me this way...sianzzzzzzzz
So anyway, Kylie and I walked around to check out the various booths...she took a few free food samples...which I outright refused to...cause I simply do not enjoy snacks. I did, however, try out the fish crackers...tasted strange...perhaps I just was not accustomed to the taste. Oh and the korean making doll session was quite nice to watch...
Finally it was over and Kylie and I decided to stone inside the former Biz IT library...XD
That's all for the event ^^
Now...Parents Forum...I literally spent my whole time inside the classroom that I was stationed at taking photos. I was assigned to T2127...where the DADP people were...(Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology) I was watching Forum Theater throughout the entire time...both the rehearsals and the actual performance...after awhile I realized I was photographing the same thing over and over and over and over again. I thought to myself...better change angle...so I hopped over to my friend's side who was taking a video of the entire play. However I have to admit it was quite interesting...Forum theater.
Forum theater is about the characters acting out a problem which is never solved. During the first round of acting, audiences are to...well...put it simply, act as audiences. Sit down and watch. Get the idea of the play's story. However during the second round of acting, audiences can shout freeze at any moment, in which the characters will freeze. They are then able to replace any one of the characters to provide a solution to the problem which the play was trying to portray. I had to admit it was a pretty cool scenario. Using acting to solve a problem, instead of some scientific logical explanation. I absolutely love it XD

Okay I know I'm sorry it's a really really overdue post. But i was busy =( haha okay ciao peeps~~

Can logics/emotions exist in one being with no conflicts?

Ahh...the typical question asked when doing facebook personality quizzes..."Is your mind ruled by your head or heart?" or something along that line...*thinks for a moment* yeah something like that. That's what I feel like talking about today ...

Now...to be the perfect being, we would probably be able to strike a balance between logic and emotions...meaning we are both logical and yet sensitive at the same time...what do you people think? I personally have formed an opinion that to be both logical and sensitive...it's near impossible...if you achieve that stage...you can be known...well...in DOTA terms as Godlike. I shall marvel at anyone who has actually reached that stage. Let us be realistic, practical and down-to-earth over here. Logic and emotions are like two opposite ends of the spectrum. There are countless occassions whereby you cannot give an answer which are both logical and sensitive.

A typical example would be someone you know really well and you are good friends with has a stinking attitude. Now, the logical thing to do would be to tell that person his/her attitude stinks. However that would be logic and not sensitive. If you want to be sensitive you say no you don't suck or keep quiet if he/she doesn't ask. Another example...again a gd friend of yours comes up to you and complains about how their parents are treating them, but you are able to tell that they are at fault and it's really not their parents, except for the fact that their parents are concerned. Logic: Be direct. tell them it's their fault; Sensitive: Agree with them, listen to them rant. In both cases, you can't do both can you? If you do people would think u shud be in the looney bin or something or they would think of it as a joke.

Logic. scientists revel in them, facts and formulas are based on them, engineers live with them. What is logic? When we do or say something, people go: "Hmmm that's logical" or "that's completely illogical" Who are we to question logic? It's like questioning facts and formulas...and going right down to the core basics...you would either get a very complicated answer which you have absoloutey no clue on what they are saying...or you would simply get a "just accept it!" response ^^ Now...do you think humans can be solely logical creatures? Perhaps one may think that he's a complete logical person...but to be fair...even an EXTREMELY logical person makes mistakes at times and do illogical stuff....rare....but it happens. Logic is strongly linked to science, in fact science is completely based on logic which is why in general males tend to do better in them whereas females would fair better in the arts. [there are always exceptions though ;) ] We always reason things out with logics: supernatural phenomenons, mysteries and the likes...That's how debates come about. When debating, we have to use logics in order to argue our point across, including deductive and inductive reasonings. We can't just go up on stage and start crying hoping we would win the sympathy and go home with the trophy. It wouldn't be called a debating competition...it would be called who-can-leak-the-most-tears competition. Logic does rule our lives and affects our decision-makings to a certain extent, perhaps because since it's logical everyone would/should do it. Logic is overall the same within society. We have different views but if we find something logical and someone else doesn't...chances r that the majority view would be logical...whether it's true or not...it's another issue...

is quite tough for one human being to be both logical and emotional at the same time...unless he or she suffers from schizophrenia (multiple personalities) then...well...that would be an exception...but even then...what are the odds of getting one personality which is REALLY logical and having another personality that is REALLY sensitive. Humans are by nature emotional and sensitive creatures. That's why we are called humans. Some people are naturally way more sensitive than others while some have such little sensitivity that people simply label them as 'insensitive'. There are no humans in this world who possess no sensitivity when they are born. Some deem to be completely insensitive but it is only perhaps something that they acquire after a period of time...not something that is in-born. Either that or you are a cyborg which you have no clue that you are...how to test? You short-circuit when you bathe ^^ okay that was just a (lame) joke. Seriously, humans are sensitve creatures. The degree of sensitivity in each individual differs, not just between genders or age, but individuals, right down to our very souls.

Logics and emotions...two opposite ends of the spectrum. they are both existent within us but we would always be dominated by one or the other. It is not exactly a good idea to deny the fact or not believe in the existence of logics/emotions...we must learn to keep an open mind and accept. Embrace our emotions/logic sides, depending on which one you are trying to put off. For me, it's my emotional side since as a girl that's naturally my domineering trait. I learnt the hard way that being logical isn't always easy...being too emotional isn't a good idea either. Thus i'm seeking to be balance...of course like i said...it would be an almost impossible task to achieve. In the meantime people... think about it...logics and emotions..can they really coexist in complete balance and harmony within one person with no conflicts?

AOH '09

WAHAHAHAHAHA!! Yesterday was really REALLY FUN to the max!! It's seriously indescribable. The closest I can get are probably using these words all mushed into one: Excellent, Marvelous, Epic, Exceptional, Brilliant...okay if i carry on i'd probably be typing till sunrise XD

So yar anyway, met my friends at Jurong Point. As usual, i was the only female but not that it actually made any difference since I'm pretty comfortable with all of them. they're like brothers to me XD Hmmm yar saw them outside Long John Silver...well actually THEY saw ME and directed me towards where they were...one of it led me straight into an obstacle n i wasn't too keen on climbing over so i backtracked n walked one round...oh n add to that? it was raining =(

Made our way to the shuttle bus and hopped on...now once we reached the camp? It was where the fun truly began ^^
First stop? we popped by some exhibitions, learnt about the weapons and armoury used in our country's army...hmmm...shan't go into details...had a bit of problem remembering all the names. Took some photos whilst on one of the tanks, went INSIDE one(nearly got the lid shut on me by my dear friends as a joke XD)...OH! Apparently there was a motorcycle which we could try sitting on. I was quite amused when the person-in-charge state that I'm a natural as I swung my leg over to ride the bike o.o I saw a doggie too! A labrador! She was so cute and she had the ability to sniff out drugs XD damn shiok! Took a couple of shots of WK and Luke...they looked very interesting XD this was my favourite:

of course as a photographer I was desperately trying 2 keep away from the sticks which they were wielding..one hit and it's K.O.!
P.S. sry luke i didn't manage to catch the stick in your hand =(

Went to try out some shooting...not bad...out of 5 rounds shot, 4 hit the target...i missed the first shot...got complimented XD Wanted to try out paintball but apparently ended up not attempting it...

SOC...standard obstacle course...omg...i remembered the low wall...i just couldn't make it up...soooo one of the in-charge knelt on one leg and asked me to use his lap as a stepping stone. i was quite reluctant at first but after some convincing i decided to try it out, gate(think it was gate, couldn't rmb the name) i couldn't flip my body over cause my legs just froze n my entire body went rigid. Even with the guys attempts to push my legs over i still wouldn't budge =( swinging bridge was the easiest cause it merely took some balancing...apparently the lighter u r the easier it is XD

tried out the rope-wall...omg...I thought i didn't have to swing down anything for the rest of the day...apparently this one...u still had to swing down. The plan was to swing down, grab the rope with my hand and climb up/down depending on the instructions. Of course, there are times when plans go array and this is one of those times. What happened was...I swung down, my glasses dropped, I panicked, grabbed the rope which i was secured to tightly with both hands, since my hands were busy, I grabbed the rope wall with my legs...omg. Someone had to climb up and help me. Next up was my friend luke. He did it quite smoothly...unlike me LOL.

Then I tried out the tunnel...now that was when I realised that I don't do well in enclosed and dark spaces... It was sort of a mini underground maze actually, you have to find your way around in the darkness, boosting your confidence level. I think for me my level of confidence dropped by a gazillion notches. I didn't dare go in alone so I went in after my friend n told him to wait for me. In the tunnel...I panicked cause I couldn't see anything and I was feeling around for my friend, trust me it was really bad. I wasn't afraid of the dark but I was afraid of being enclosed. In the end my friend had to guide me the whole way and he kept checking if I was all right. By the time we reached the exit, I was panting, dazed and really jumpy. I was asked if I was okay which I barely was able to answer to. Finally I regained enuf composure to hoist myself out of the tunnel (with my friend's help. He sort of held my waist and added to the momentum whilst i was jumping up) I vowed to never EVER go anywhere near a dark and enclosed space again.

Hmmm....went off for a mini ride...live shooting safari...It was quite a long wait cause the ride started at 4 and we reached there quite early. We slept, stoned, listened to music (Steven used his macbook) played with our handphones...and finally got onto the ride. Got to see how a mission is planned out, what weapons and armoury are used, how they would attack enemies, how they counter water bodies as well as mine fields, even saw a wild boar while we were at it. We even had a chance to spot snipers...one of us suggested showing the finger and we all agreed that he wud end up wif only 4 fingeres by the time we were done...

Whoots...we decided to chomp on something after that...cause we were all starving to the max! The guys decided to have some after-meal cotton candy of which I simply couldn't resist but take a few shots of them ^^

Went to Jurong Point for awhile, took a walk...and then we finaly made our way home. Oh...we took the train all the way to Joo Koon just for the sake of getting a seat to sleep XD quite ridiculous but when u're dead tired u'd do anything XD

That's all people ^^ ciaos

FOM Exam @_@

Ahahah one semestral paper down one more to go!! 2day I had my first poly exam ever!! Fundamentals of Marketing! OMG! I started mugging like two days before the exam...like what the hell right?! So i ended up focusing on certain topics and totally throwing the rest of the topics away. Yup. That's what I did. Pretty risky move i'd say. Lucky me, almost all the topics which I threw away did not come up...only one or two. I was thinking...whooo....however...I lost 4 marks for no reason -_-" I FREAKING HAD THE INFORMATION IN MY HEAD AND I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THE ANSWER! Sianzzzz.......
Oh yesterday I mugged with my friends Luke, Steven and WeiQuan...err...well...actually we did more crapping than mugging >_> With all the super-pokes/pseudo-pokes/high profile-pokes/stealth-pokes, it was highly entertaining and amusing to watch...pretty soon i forgot about mugging...HAIZZZ DISAPPOINTMENT! EPIC P-H-A-I-L!!!!! Went to chomp on KFC for dinner...(had a 'fun' time trying to get my 5 bucks back from SOMEONE which i intended to use to pay for my meal) After that, we changed venues from Biz IT to the study area above the auditorium....it was like an igloo in there. I couldn't concentrate cause it was quite cold and I was feeling verrrrry sleepy...sooo i ended up absorbing very little...decided to mug a bit more when i went home XD
Before we left, I watched a fairly entertaining show of Steven trying to poke Wei Quan whilst Wei Quan attempts to defend himself...XD SO yar...that's my studying process...studying 3 hours crap 4 hours...for tuesday night..monday is mug whole day till 6 in the morning ^^ (Mum got a shock when she saw me awake!)
FOM...haizzz...I am really hoping to still get an A...otherwise it'd be tough for my GPA to at least be a 3.0
Oh well...time to mug for my final paper...ICP >_> wish me luck everyone!!

Emotional Madness

Today, I finally know what jealousy is like...though it came only for a fleeting moment, I felt the effects of it. That was before I started shooting zombies and listening to music. I don't understand why I feel this way though...it is after all not the least bit like me to have such emotions. I am supposed to have my emotions under control, meaning no jealousy, anger, sadness and pain. I wasn't supposed to let any of these emotions surface anymore...so...why must they surface once again...i dread this...
I shouldn't have loved anyone...I should have had learned my lesson...never fall in love...if only I had kept my feelings within check...if only I had truly mastered controlling my emotions...What should I do now...it hurts...I guess I should just leave it...after all...there's nothing I can do...right?

O.O

I am sooo totally stunned!!! OMG! One of my fave book series is goin' to be made in2 a movie!! WHOOPIE!! XD It's called Percy Jackson & The Olympians! The very first movie: The Lightning Thief, is goin to be out in 2010!! YAY! I can't wait!!!! I wonder if there are any other fans out there of Greek Mythology other than me...cause if you are, this movie is definitely for you!! The book was meant for young readers...but hell care...i mean everyone's a kid at heart right? XDXD

Soooo anywayz, the plot mainly revolves around a teen called Perceus(Percy) Jackson who is actually a demigod. His mother is a human and his father is a...well...God...one of the Olympians...which one? I suggest u read the book or watch the show to find out ^^ Anywayz, something goes very wrong in his 6th Grade...actually things have always been going wrong for this poor kid, but 6th grade was what y'all wud call...The Ultimate...Yes. That was when Percy discovers his true self as a demigod, in his case, a Half-Blood. Why the extra name? That's cause his parent who is a god is not an ordinary god...he is one of the olympians, that means Percy's scent is extremely strong and is easily detected by monsters from Hades. Well, in addition to the typical teenage problems, he also gets chased by Furies, a Minotaur etc. basically Hades minions. If this has got your attention, then i suggest you start reading the series ^^ it will really get you hooked XD

the cover of the book XD

a minotaur o.o

and the furies ^^

more pix will be uploaded when i can find o.o

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!

Whoots the long-awaited 6th movie of Harry potter was finally out! Well...I thought that the movie had really nice effects, apparently it's under the rating of 'Parental guidance' though, cause of some scary scenes. To be honest, I kinda' got freaked myself soooo I guess I can understand why. Oh and I believe that die-hard fans of harry potter who keep track of the movies and books would figure that the plot gets darker and slightly...more...morbid to put it simply. After all, the story about Harry Potter isn't about fairy-tales, never growing up like Peter Pan...even with all the fantasy inputs, there are some parts that grounds us to reality. These are mainly the problems we teens face, from relationship issues to testing of friendships etc.
Anywayz, I believe that most of you out there would know or at least have heard of Harry Potter, but for the benefit of those who do not....Harry is basically a boy who found out that he was not an ordinary human, but actually a wizard. So then begins his journey of discovering his powers, making friends, falling in love and of course fighting the all-ever notorious Lord Voldemort.

This time round, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince...to put it simply...it's sort of like a stepping stone to the climax. You can actually feel it...the tension, the strings being pulled really tight, everything is finally coming to a halt. Of course as a side note, my friends and I kinda' thought that the inferi(ressurected corpses, sorta' like zombies) looked like Golems. He even commented: Why are there golems? I was biting my tongue from laughing out ^^Let's see...Hermoine kinda' cast a really cool charm which involves canaries...cute right? Not when they're speeding towards you at high velocity though >_> (watch the movie n keep an eye out for Ron ^^) Harry is now obsessed with thinking that Draco is a Death Eater and his obsession kinda' nearly gets him into trouble as usual. Ohh....there was one scene which kinda' got me giggling away...the part where Katie got cursed and Mcgonagall was claryifying issues? She stared at Harry, Ron and Hermione before asking "Why is it that you three are always around when something happens?" or something along that line. Ron's reply? "Believe me professor, we've been askin ourselves the same question for 6 years!" WAHAHAHA!

Sneak Preview: Snape n Narcissa makin the unbreakable vow XD
Bellatrix causing chaos as usual...
Harry, Hermione n Ron in discussion...SERIOUS discussion...hmmmm.....
N how can we forget Ginny??

Oh yes...Harry, Ron and Hermoine....in this book...more lovey dovey stuff will go on....XD haf fun finding out! I dun wanna' be a spoiler ^^
Here's the book...which I have at home...

Personally, I am beginning to like Snape more n more...I think it's cause of his attitude...not his bad boy attitude...but those of you who read all 7 books would know why I like him...his extreme bravery and him being misunderstood. Somehow, I really pity him and I wish I could take his pain away...*shakes herself* oops gettin too sentimental people! Anywayz hope ya' haf a gr8 time watching this movie. yar yar some ppl say it sux some ppl say it's nice, everyone has different opinions otherwise we would be clones of each other wouldn't we? ^^

"Smokin' Lappy"

RANDOM EVENT: I felt kinda' guilty the other day. I caused my poor friend ta' worry for no reason. It happened during lunch break. I was sittin opposite him whilst my friend was sittin next ta' him. The back of his laptop was facing me and I had just returned with a cup of steaming hot tea, with the smoke still comin out. I placed it behind his laptop. Suddenly, he made a jerky movement of lowering his laptop screen before breathing a sigh of relief. I was kind of shocked for a moment, then he explained. Well...poor chap...he apparently thought that his laptop was burning or something from typing too much...he saw the smoke from my tea but not the actual cup of tea. We had a good laugh over it. Pretty amusing actually XD

What a week!

Whoah...last week was one hell of a roller coaster week for me!! There were really exciting moments as well as mega upsetting moments for me. O.o I shall talk all about it bit by bit...sounds agonizing but it's true...cause i haf a really bad memory so i hafta' pick at my brains for the memories bit by bit....

Okay i got back my CA results for some of my modules, mainly my Design Basics(DB), Fundamentals of Marketing(FOM), Intro to Media Writing(IMW) as well as Intro to Communication Principles(ICP). I must say I was really joyous when i received my results. 3As and a D, pretty decent grades i would say. My IMW module was a D...which I really was not surprised cause I have a bad habit of writing flowerly languages and I do not like being precise and concise when I am writing...this module is probably going to be a killer module for me. Nevertheless I was really happy wif my results, considering I topped my class along with two other girls for FOM and my ICP grp topped the whole cohort o.o My friend couldn't stop jumping up and down XD it was pretty amusing ^^

Now...for the bad part my family....ahh...well...i dunno wad came over them...but I THINK i was the tipping point...though to be honest, I have absoloutely no idea if it is true or not. Anyway I came home and I realised the two of them were arguing...as in REALLY arguing. They squabble half the time but that day was really scary. It was to the extent that my father, who is normally a calm person, blew up and became hysterical. Oh in addition, my mother threatened to commit suicide too. I freaked. I REALLY freaked. I was so afraid that my mother would REALLY kill herself. I had never been so scared before in my life, and that was saying something. My dad said I would regret it when I told him it's not fair to me if he forces me to do something I do not wish to do just because my mum and him can't settle their own problems. When my mother sms-ed me, I freaked and called my aunt. She was a GREAT help...sarcastic wise. I was past the boundary of panicking already and it was understandable cause I was scared, afraid, upset, everything-in-one. Obviously I wouldn't be able to keep calm and think straight! Yet she still scolded me for calling her and acting hysterical plus she decided to give me a freaking lecture! I was seriously pissed off and just wanted to hang up on her. Luckily, what little that was left of my senses told me NOT to do it so I just put the phone away from my ear and cried. It really sucked. In the end I just told my aunt that i wanted to sleep, apologised to her and hung up. She said she loved me, but I just couldn't believe her, much as i wanted to , i just can't. Love is through action, not words. I never believed in pure words of love. Oh yes, my father sort of threw away the house phone...down the rubbish chute. Up till now, I still have no idea what logical reason he had behind his action, thus i came to the conclusion that he was just too angry =)

Thankfully, those two had enough sense to go see a PROFESSIONAL counsellor (strangely I got this information from my friend, not my parents themselves...interesting ain't it? ^^ ) Things pretty much got back to normal...but...after all these time of detaching myself....I guess i still need a little getting used to...in order to get my life back straight....I do not wish for any external interference anymore...just hope that my family, from now on, are able to settle their own problems, without involving me or my friends...

END OF PART 1

Okay now NDP!!! Haha this week we are in charge of Primary 5 kids! They're so cute! Though my friend had the smartest idea of sculpturing a machine gun balloon and after that we had a whole horde of little kids screaming and asking for it. It isn't exactly easy to make....and my arms were soar from pumping the balloons. I didn't know how to make the machine gun so I just pumped the balloons continuously until my arms nearly dropped!!! Oh...and later on when we were motivating the people, it started pouring and we got drenched. OMG!!! I couldn't stop sneezing!! There was lightning so we were kind of stuck below the floating platform...there was a large space, perfect for a 'gathering' of all the performers and audiences. Well, after awhile, cause of the horrible ventilation due to too many people being cramped up together...people started fainting, as in LITERALLY. There were two motivators who just dropped down onto the floor and had to be carried away whilst another two looked deathly pale, as if they were on the verge of fainting. My friend was pretty surprised that I did not faint cause I looked really fragile and pale. Our mentors continuously inquired if we were feeling all right and luckily in my group, no one fainted. I ended up reaching home at 11 plus...man i was bushed, even for a nocturnal creature who is usually awake at night, I could not stay awake past 2am...n that is saying something cause I am normally up till 3 or 4 in the morning on weekends.

Well that's all for my week....Sunday was a rest day for me...so nothing much. Just stoning and slacking around the entire day...of course i chiong my work at night >_> last minute HAHA! *blushes* Hehe. Now...back to work XD ciaos people!

Transformers 2!! WAHAA!!

Whoots! I finally managed to watch Transformers 2 ^^ Before I go into how great the movie was (no sarcasm here by the way), I shall speak a little about what happened before this...

Initially, our plan was to watch Ice Age 3...there were 3 of us...we sorta' planned it a couple of days before. As usual, I was the only girl...well that's no surprise i guess. On the day itself, one of the guys backed out...poor chap he must have been really tired out from all his FYP (Final Year Project) which kinda' left me and another guy....ahh well we ended up going for Transformers since neither of us have watched it before. Sooo yar it was something like an unofficial 'date' or something.

Of course, by the time we decided to leave, it was around half an hour before the show started soooo we kinda' rushed for time...it was tiring...walkin really fast while carrying a laptop. I haf no idea how my dear friend could walk so quickly...I had a hard time trying to catch up with him man.

Finally we reached the cinema, bought the tickets, I ran off to toilet ta' wash up, then we entered the cinema. It was like...8:30 as in the movie started at 8:30 so i assumed it would end at around 10:45-ish....my estimation was pretty off..i forgot to calculate in the advertisements time =( so the actual timing which the movie ended was 11pm o.o First time i watch movie alone wif a guy until so late.....nice sia considering i'm kinda semi-nocturnal XD Now for the movie...

OMG THE MOVIE IS OMGLY FREAKISHLY AMAZINGLY KICK-ASS AWESOME!!!! The plot was great, effects were astounding, actors were captivating.....juz really REALLY smooth. Let me try ta' remember a wee bit of parts here and there *note: spoilers coming up if u haven't watched i suggest u skip*
Well yes i admit Megan Fox is probably one of the most beautiful women out there...no people I just admire her for being beautiful...i'm not jealous or les...in case anyone of u start getting the wrong idea -_-" I could hear some guys making strange wolf-like sounds at the start when they showed Megan bent over whilst painting some sort of lady devil symbol on her motorbike.
Next were the cute lil dogs...or at least i thought they were cute until they started humping each other................or as my friend puts it: cross-breeding which I hafta' agree with. One was a bull dog one was a....chiwawa...oh geez I can't spell for nuts =(
BumbleBee looked kinda' amusing when it started crying...after Sam told it that he couldn't take it along with him to college.........
YES!! Apparently the female teen who tried seducing Sam was a robot...an evil one at that.....there was a scene whereby a metallic tail came out from under her dress, possibly from her 'tailbone' if she even had one. I nearly freaked at that part. Oh and her tongue? was metallic and long and lethal-looking. My heart jumped. She looked like some weird alien from outer space!!! Well actually she was a weird robot from outer space. Man...
Of course Optimus Prime died...and somehow managed to get revived again....watch the movie i ain't gonna' say anything...

Man it was one hell of a movie. I really really enjoyed watching the movie. Plus it was wif a really good friend of mine....huh...friend...or more den dat...well...duunno....haha. Anywayz now I owe him money...cause he paid...huh......haizzz....I dun think i wud haf a chance to return him the money... =( he didn't seem to wan me ta' pay him back. Well...anywayz it's time for me to sign off...ciaoz....

Volunteering at HortPark....

Wow...last LAST saturday was one freaking long and tiring day for me...yup as part of my service learning project for one of my modules, we had to volunteer our services at an organization. My team selected Hort Park...after being rejected by a couple of others....hmmmm...well anyway we got the base foundation settled (thanks to Isyanah, seriously people we HAVE to give her a treat one day)

So yes, I woke up early as usual even though it's a Saturday...this time for a different reason. All this while I have been going off to NDP training...that day however, I had to go for my ONOW project...*yawn* Wonder what excitement would I experience today...visiting a nature park is one thing...working as a volunteer...i'll bet that there would be a couple of differences...

I was 2nd to reach...my partner Benedict was the earliest amongst the three of us. Both of us met up and went to stone for a bit. The view was really pretty...with all the greenery, a huge body of water, coupled wit a nice morning breeze...mmm...it made me feel totally at home. I love nature! It's been a long time since i've entered a nature reserve...all the greenery n plants give me comfort n grounded to the earth...that we're all part of this world...part of this life...

Enough of that though, after a round of briefing from our leader (along with the arrival of our friend Kylie), we took a light snack before starting work. First activity of the day: Picture mossaic; Little kids activity time!! They were supposed to put together little bits of small items such as crystals/buttons/stones/gems to form a picture, so we provided them with a tile which had double-sided tape pasted all over, in case they messed too much with the glue.........so anywayz, the kids came and started having fun, with my friend n i walking around to help the kids/collect rubbish/answering questions etc. etc. Some of them were really creative, some were just messing around but created pretty nifty pieces, others were just disastrous -_-" oh well kids are kids XD

Now the next activity was 3D-Card Making. OMG! THis was one hell of an activity for me!!! Some of the kids were little angels, quietly doing up their cards, taking extra care when using the glue which we provided them with....of course with angels, there are devils. Duh. I remember crystal clearly that there were 3 boys whom i was interacting with and helping out...they were all in upper primary...not that it made any differences -_-" After seeing the way they wielded the scissors and penknives we lent them, my heart perpectually jumped out. One even looked menacingly at my long tresses with an evil glint in his eye and a pair of scissors in his hand. I immediately grabbed my hair and wrapped it up into a tight bun. Another boy picked up a tissue from the floor and stuck it on his face...with a hole at the mouth area, so that he could speak....aaaaaaand the other kid stuffed the tissue into his mouth...fyi the tissue dropped on the floor and had glue. My partner Ben and I nearly fainted from shock.

Thankfully after that it was break time!!!! All we needed to do was to bring all the furniture back to the store. For a moment I was shocked cause there was no way I was thinking of carrying those furniture and walk all the way. Then I realised...oh we werflyere transporting the furniture using a buggy. Me and benedict sat at the back...teeheee.....it was fun...minus the fact that my hair was blowing 2wards the front...

By the time after we made a few trips, I was starving. The 3 of us dropped by IKEA to chomp. Mmmm I totally missed the sweedish meat balls....yum yum!!! My two friends were couping the sauce from me after i was done >_> Once they were done, we made our way back to the Park, stopping once in awhile to look at the decorations (STUFF TOYS!!!)

Of course, when we were back, our leader was nowhere to be seen...so ben and I ended up falling asleep and taking a mini afternoon nap whilst Kylie read a pamphlet. An hour later, our leader came and briefed us on our next activity...butterfly garden!! WHOOTS!

We took a mini buggy again towards the butterfly garden where me and Benedict were in charge of the exit and entrance respectively. There was quite a turnout. The queue stretched all the way from the garden till the end of the stairs. I was jumping up and down to see the end of the queue (i'm not short just that the people were tall!!) Amusingly my leader asked me to count the number of people. I was thinking...HUH?! Are ya' kidding me or what??? I can't be in two places at once, guarding the exit whilst counting the number of people at the entrance! Thankfully whilst all these thoughts were running wild in my head, she went back inside to give the group more information/insights on the different species of the butterflies. Well, I gotta' admit they were pretty...as in the butterflies.

Oh yes apparently, the prettier the caterpillars, the uglier the butterflies were...whereas the uglier the caterpillars, the prettier the butterflies were. After what seemed like a millenium, the butterfly garden was finally closed to the public. Sadly, some people still turned up and we had to graciously turned them away...think we turned about 20++ people away in total. There was one particular group which didn't seem to wanna' leave...but we convinced them by saying if we let you in then there would be 20++ other people who wud come bash us up...tt did the trick XD

Finally, we were allowed to go home...after our leaders filled in the forms...and boy was i freakishly dead tired!!!! Sooo yar me signing off ^^ ciaoz!

POC~~

Wahoo!! Primers Orientation Camp! AHAHAAHA! It was fun, crazy, retarded, strange, weird all thrown into one ^^ It was a 3 Days 2 Nights camp...pretty fun. Oh the bus journey was pretty long...and boy did i get a shock when we reached the BB Campsite...why? That was the exact place i went to for my Council Camp back in Secondary School!!! I was like...no wonder this place looks so darn familiar!!!

**********1st Night***************

Hmmm.....first night...well nothing much except for ice breaking games..sort of like a telematch...we had various stations...i shall try to talk about as much as I can remember ^^ Geez...we played..Human...Fooseball...thankfully we were just given boundaries to move around in and not tied to each other...or else you would probably see tonnes of people falling...on the hard floor...ouch....We lost haha. Our team lost. Sadded but oh well at least we had lots of fun and we played with integrity ^^ that's the most important.

Ahh yes remember how our parents always go: Don't play with fire?" Well....we were doing the exact opposite. It was a game called Tower Defense. Each team would have one tower (a chair basically) and one person would have to stand on it. 3 strings are tied around the chair's legs and each player has to carry one candle...one LIT candle...and burn the strings of the opponent's towers. To defend, we had to blow out the opponent's candles XD Cute huh...a hole was being poked through a piece of paper for the candle to be placed so that the wax could drip into it. Our dear opponent cheated and he perpectually lit up the paper too...OLYMPIC TORCH! How the hell do we blow that out we wondered...thankfully the judge saw it and she said it's against the rules. Cause by the size of tt flame, blowing wouldn't be enough. We probably would have had to spit on it (eew, gross)

Ever heard of the game "老鹰抓小鸡"? (Eng translation: Eagle catch chick) We played that...it's like for every row...the head is the eagle n the tail is the chick...middle people have no roles...apparently the heads muz try to catch the tails of the opposing teams...of course...some teams got seperated...n worst...some were blindly walking behind the person they were supposed to catch or run away from...man it was funny

Of course...what would camp be without water games. We played dog and bone with a twist. In the middle there was a cup in a bucket of water and an umbrella. The team which gets the cup filled with water has to splash it onto the referee's leg while the team which did NOT get the cup has to get the umbrella to defend. Of course, no team could hold two items at one shot. There were some pretty amusing moments. Two people were called out from each team. Our opponents...one grabbed the umbrella and one grabbed the cup, so it was like...our team people were staring blankly at the opponent. They didn't realise until the girl stared at the guy who stopped trying to splash the water cause he realised it was his own teammate. And another team wrapped the referee's legs with the umbrella...so of course no water could get through. It was hilarious!

We played a strange game called fishing. We each had a LONG string with one end attached to a bamboo pole n the other attached to a hook. Apparently we were supposed to hook up as many 'fishes' (plastic bags) as possible. Half of the team did the fishing and the other half did the guiding...we were supposed to swap after a certain period. Man...we had 48...which was only 2 away from beating the high score of 49...sadded.....oh we fished from the second floor and the items were on the first floor.

that was the end of the first night...the second day...was when all the fun came in...

Left: Fooseball
Right: Team Sepia ^^

***********2nd Day***************

Now THAT was one HECTIC day! All the activities were crammed in there WAHAHAHAHAHA! We had game activities first before our kayaking(which sadly got cancelled due to poor weather conditions) The games were REALLY amusing and crazy and fun!! Hmmm...let me see...

Oh yes we had absailing (someone misheard it as excelling n poor me was trying to figure out wad kind of a game is tt...) Basically it was just running down a wall...that part wasn't scary. It was standing on the paraphet and looking down which was scary...i was smart. I didn't look down. However, the instructors were pretty much a sadistic bunch. I could tell that some of them were pretty nervous...yet the instructors were going: Any last words? Anyone wants to write a will? Any last letters to write?" I was thinking....wad the hell...Overall though, the experience was pretty fun. Luckily i stopped in time or else my butt wud haf hit the floor...ouch. I was the first girl in my group to go...pretty brave huh? Well.. i kinda' half-shouted at the instructors to quit it with the 'last will/letter' stuff..hehehehe XD

CAPTAINS BALL!!!!!! Wah kau...this game arh...play captains ball with fruits de...dun use ball...finito. We used an orange, a cabbage and two bananas...gross. The cabbage shrunk, the bananas became soft-er, the orange...well...after playing with it, tossing it around in the hot sun with people's sweaty palms...after awhile you'd find that there's juice coming out from the orange as it flies around. AHH yes after the whole game, my senior decided to juz randomly throw it somewhere...his aim was apparently mega accurate cause it hit someone's head ... the poor guy had had to wash his hair immediately after that...gross...oh and a friend of mine? she apparently had a banana smacked into her leg...which kinda' left mushy bits all over...she squealed...unlucky me was next to her and my ear drums almost burst!!! Hau..but i really pitied the guy who had orange juice in his hair.... *grimace*

Another game ... we had to transport a certain amount of water from the first to the last person. Each of us had a cup in our hands. Now it sounds easy...but the catch is we had to pour the water backwards...which means we face the front and poured the water into the cup that's held by the person behind us...we spilled lots of water...it was really wet. The seniors weren't making things better though...they enjoyed whacking us with balloons as well as blowing a whistle in our ears to distract us. It worked like a charm...though the whistle trick did not work on me because I was mega used to my mum screaming loudly all of a sudden. We finally got sufficient water across...by the time we were done, our arms were aching...hahahah...

oh we oso had to stomp on numbers in order...everyone was given a number and we had to stomp on the number that was inside the circle...randomly arranged numbers...i stared at the middle number n was thinking...the middle person muz haf long legs.........haha but held the record of being able to stomp 20 numbers consecutively in 9 seconds XD

Ever tried skipping with two people holding each end of the skipping rope? sounds easy rit? now try doing it with 20 people in the middle....that's wad we had to do....20 ppl all jumping at the same time...10 times consecutively. Of course the first time we jumped we got entangled...n so did the 2nd time...n the 3rd...n the 4th....man i lost count of how many times it took before we could actually jump once....by the time we did ONE we were uber joyful. Until the seniors said: very good! One down, Nine to go! i was tempted to strangle him with the rope (the rope was actually a bunch of rubber bands tied together)

Ahh yes...the next game....soap water was poured onto a piece of canvas sheet...and we had to do 10 star jumps on it...goodness...we had to be synchronized and EVERYONE has to do it...otherwise we had to redo...luckily we didn't hafta' redo it...after that we slid across the canvas sheet since it was slippery with the soap water. Some people used their knees to slide, some slid on their front, some slid on their butt....no one slid on their faces...duh....

Top Left: Lunchie Break!
Top Right: pouring water backwards!!!!
Bottom Left: Help, i'm tangled up!!

***************3rd Day********************

Our last day at camp.....kinda' sad but oh well it was just the beginning of our journey in Primers. We had our usual breakfast...followed by some appreciation session. Each of us were given a chance to pick somebody from the group to show our appreciation to. Well...there were two of us (me being one of them) who decided to appreciate the ENTIRE group WAHAHAHAHA.

Oh yes...after that it was a photo taking session! It was with ALL the students who attended the camp. First years, second years and third years alike ^^ it was a bit tough looking up at the camera cause the sun was shining almost directly into our eyes. Most of us DID squint XD
After that, it was the tradition of Primers to do something we all know verrrry well....TAUPOK!!!!!!!! Mixed version. No one actually cared whether you were a guy or girl...they juz poured themselves against you. The committee had the worst of it though...they had to sit right in the middle of it all...imagine that. We repeated the process about a couple of times before i nearly fell down and luckily someone grabbed me before i ACTUALLY fell down. Haha
Well...POC was a really enjoyable time...from then we boarded the bus and then left for home...XD (oh we had a little bit of lunchie first before going off)
Ciaos people! That is all ^^
