Yea!! 2day was one of the crazier birthday celebrations i've had in my life. LOL...so i shall start from the beginning...n tat means when i wake up...



On the previous night, i told my friends tat they could come at 10am...but if by 11:30am they aren't able to make it they had 2 make their way to our lunch destination themselves. N what time did i wake up? 10:30am...believe me i literally jumped out of bed and ran to find my phone...thank heavens no one called...just as i was about to go back to sleep however, my phone rang...ah...William and Hoa kiat have already reached...so I guess I had to make my way downstairs and pick them up. Before I even walked them to the lobby, Joey called...and I had 2 pick him up as well...then Megumi turned up...thank goodness she was dropped off at the lobby...last but not least, Jerold sms Joey...and I screamed. I gave Joey the card key and told him to open the gate for him when he came...because I was quite tired of having to move around like crazy. Not to mention i haven't brushed my teeth or bathed!

Once i FINALLY reached home, I ran off to bathe...ah...the nice warm water...of course i'm not supposed to bathe immediately after i wake up because i'll catch a cold...hmm...after tat nth much till we reached our destination...ate at Raffles City...a buffet lunch...and er...one of my friends had a huge appetite. At first, I was the only one hu was quite surprised and freaked...ltr on even the 4 boys sitting opposite me had the same reactions as well. If i'm not wrong he went for 5+ rounds while the rest of us had 3 to 4 rounds only...

Went off to Suntec Guild and played Pool!! Man was it fun...but because there were 7 people it wud definitely be unbalanced. In the end, we played a few rounds...wif the JC peeps against the non-JC peeps: Me, Megumi, Hoa Kiat and William vs Joey, Jerold and my brother. It was fun...but for the 2nd round...we played halfway and mum said time to cut the cake...oh yea...for the first time i actually cut the cake outside of home...^^...pretty interesting experience i muz say...dad took a couple of photos...we ate the cake...drank some juice and continued the game.

Oh yes...while meg, will, joey n i were waiting for the rest to arrive...i could see will trying to get his phone because he thought meg was sitting on it...at first tat's wad i thought to....until she told me in F-language tat it was in her bag...i was looking at her bag which was on her lap...and william was trying to reach behind her for his phone...oh man...the attempts used were...hilarious. I felt bad though..reali...but then i merely ignored them...ignorance is bliss after all...and watched Joey played his PSP...after awhile meg went to the toilet...wad an idea to escape...she finally returned the phone though..through yours truly of course.

After staying at the guild hs for awhile more...we went back home...and played computer games! Hk was eager to go down and play soccer...i played...but i sucked because it had been a LOOOONG time since i played...then it was back home after a drink...and everyone went back to their own houses....wad a day! ^^

Sporty Outing!!

2day i was out with my brother n two poly friends of mine (Jerold and joey both from my sec sch)...playing badminton...hmm...we were at Mountbatten CC (juz outside my primary school KHS) n the ventilation inside the hall was reali bad...oh n the fans weren't turn on too...i wasn't complaining abt the heat...more because of the lack of fresh air which all of us need.

I was teamed with joey while the two Santas (my bro n jerold: santa jnr n snr respectively) paired off; we didn't keep track of the score....juz whack the shuttlecock...n i oso found out exactly how polluted my brother's mind was...

Ate at a foodcourt nearby n we all told a gazillion jokes...laughing our way through...it was a very relaxing atmosphere...to be with good old friends (hu cares if i was the only girl?) Following that we went to Jerold's place...played DDR n this bicycle game whereby there're different modes....one's a normal racing mode while for the other mode...u hafta do as many stunts as possible within 5 min...i got whacked by both my brother n jerold...ARGH! Then we went to his room n i stoned while the guys worked on their labtops...

That was it...nth else happened...i juz went home and sleep...i was very tired...n...oh man...mum's screaming at the maid AGAIN! *plugs in ear-piece* MUch better

My vacation trip in Australia!! =)

Yup! My trip to Australia...well i muz say it has been a really fun experience ... LOLZ. There were a few weird and retarded happenings...i'll list them one by one...starting from Day One...


Day One: Airport/Farm Trip =)


I'll combine the night we left the airport and the day at the farm into one post...since there really was nothing much at the airport...-_-" We didn't really do much at the airport...juz took our dinner at a fancy restaurant(mind you i'd haf preferred sth simple...) Dad took LOTS of photos...but I won't be showing them all...juz one or two at the airport n at the farm....our flight was at 11pm...AND...my brother or dad...one of them...suggested me posing as a 12 year old so that we could board the plane slightly earlier...i was thinking...oi...i'm 17 years old...not a 12 year old kid...so anyway yea we boarded the plane...i watched Ratatouile on the plane and slept for the rest of the journey...but i hardly slept though...wasn't really comfortable...n i heard lots of shuffling between my family members...(felt a little nauseous too...probably because i didn't eat...)






Here's our hand luggage...well...dad's going 2 be carrying it...but sometimes i carried it too..it's heavy

So anywayz our landing was slightly delayed...because the gates which we were supposed to alight from was still occupied...so...we continued stoning


Well...i kinda' predicted wad we were going to do at the farm...it was the usual...sheep-shearing...Billy Tea...horse-riding DEMO not riding on the horse itself...kinda' enjoyed the Koala carrying part though..oh! not forgetting...whip cracking(really loud)and i nearly stepped on a sheepdog that was waiting for her turn to perform and show off her sheep-herding skills.

Speaking of sheeps...i managed to feed some baby lambs along with other baby animals like the calves, chickens...er...goats...and one specie of bird which i haf no idea wad it was. Gee...better go find out...ah! We watched the horses raced each other around the fields...pretty fun to watch =) There was this portion of the show...a lady was asked to go up front and hold a piece of fern leaf in her mouth while one of the farmers sliced the leaf into half using a whip. She was blindfolded and they said it was to protect her nose from being sliced off. I had no idea wad to say. Anyway
they did some prayer stuff which was meant to be a joke...gee whiz...if there were catholics there i guess they wud haf been slightly offended...*shrugs*

O...the food was yummy...love the fish....the smell of fish wasn't really strong so there...during lunch the entertainer, hu was singing, came over to our table and sang a few verses of some love song...i was thinking...excuse me...i'm eating here!! but to be polite i shut up.

That was abt it for the first day i guess...yup after tat we went over to eat dinner at a chinese restaurant and back to the hotel we went for our sleep....i was dead tired...

Day Two: MOVIE WORLD ;)



Yeap! As it says...movie world...where all Warner Bros movies u can think of appear here...we haf scooby doo, Superman, Batman, Looney Tunes, Shrek...n others which i can't remember...so anyway the minute we entered, a roller coaster ride caught my eye...man was the coming down steep and boy was it high!! On the bus i told my dad i wud try every single roller-coaster ride there was to try...but after seeing the ride...i decided to take back what i said...yes i chickened out...*cluck cluck*. We went back to our usual Scooby ride...brings back memories...why? Cause the first time we came my dad told us tat it was just a MILD STIMLATION RIDE. After the ride i was rdy to whack him...because it turned out to be a HIGH SPEED ROLLER COASTER.. The first time i went i sat at the back and when we stopped all of a sudden with a wall in front of us, i stupidly looked back and realised that there was a track. I was so frightened tat i wanted to jump out of the carriage ... but well tat was the first time...this time round i was more prepared...when we were thrown from side to side at the sharp turns, i shouted over the loud music: DI! SORRY ABOUT MY HAIR because my hair was flying around...


Next up was the Wild Wet Falls...we were quite freaked at the height because it was high up and quite steep. We went through with it though...n at the end became QUITE wet... we oso checked out the Shrek Movie in 4D....pretty amusing i must say...when the donkey sneezed there was actual water being sprayed at us...gross....n there was a part whereby the spiders started crawling and i felt sth below my legs...i screamed n lifted up my legs...n my dad n bro laughed at me...-_-" I got the last laugh though...my brother got his sunglasses and 4D glasses mixed up...threw in his sunglasses instead of the 4D glasses by mistake...man!! Talk abt hilarious!! =D


Later we went shopping...bought some things...took pix of the Mystery Inc. wif Scooby Doo, Catwoman, Hawkgirl, Wonderwoman, Flash n can't rmb the last one...Bugs, Tweety, Daffy. Austin Powers(yeah baby yeah)....yeap! Later on was Bonnie and Clyde...that one really had some side-splitting laughter scenes...apparently Bonnie held the policeman hostage...and er...she called out one of the kids to put two fingers against his bag while she lied tat it was her gun n she'll shoot him if he dared turn back...in the meantime they escaped while the poor kid was left there with his fingers against the policeman's back and the policeman juz stood there like a dummy...a really scared dummy...hehe......That was abt it...after tat it was dinner(at the same restaurant as the previous day) n back to the hotel!!

Day three: Dreamworld =S



Woohoo! 2day's Dreamworld...where all the rides are! =) Spongebob, Rugrats...lolz...Hmm...my brother and I tried out the Angry Beavers ride...it's juz a simple ride where you the ground is elevated at an angle and you go round and round and round and round....so basically...this time my stomach didn't lurch like it used to...but my brother and I couldn't stand straight after that...


Bumper cars was fun...there was one ride which i sat in the same car as my brother while HE drove....believe me it was no smooth ride...he was dive-bombing others half the time and i think i musta' looked pretty scared. We decided to go on The Cyclone...a roller-coaster ride...my bro n i made a new friend there...his name's Matthew...n guess wad? He's from SAS....gee n i'm from SAJC...wad a small world! So yea...the ride went upside down and it was quite long...his younger sister was clinging on to her father as she was scared...guess wad? In the end...a minute before the ride started...he backed out. My bro n i were like...oi! it was pretty ironic...his sister was the one hu was really scared and in the end he backed out...before i could say or think though we were off,...i saw the sky and next the ground was hurling towards me and i shut my eyes...-_-" I oso got to know the guy who sat behind us as we were all telling each other to scream...we were like..scream ah scream ah! SET! in the end after a few seconds of realising i was the only one screaming....i shut up. embarrassing sia. =P


Following that we went for two wet rides...Thunder Rapid rides and the Log Ride...the rapid rides was quite mild...juz sit inside a circluar raft n get spun while it drifts along with the water currents...seems like my brother got the most wet...the Log Ride was worst...cause the peak was HIGH and we ALL got wet...not just my brother...so did my dad and I...=D


Saw a tigress and her cub...well...her cub was half her size...pretty huge....they were really beautiful creatures...ah yes...my brother and i went on the Repta roller-coaster...your legs were left dangling but it was a pretty short ride...45 seconds more or less...around there...i guess tat was it for Dreamworld...it's better for u to experience the rides themselves...hehe...hmmm...ah yes...we went on a boat cruise...it really was a cruise all right...the travel speed was slooooooooooowwww......i juz stoned at the beautiful greeneries out there...i love animals n wanted to see the mini animal farm...but because mum couldn't take the smell...sheesh...no chance...=( n that was it for 2day...lolz!!

Day 4: Seaworld =D



Third and last world....we first checked out the Polar Bear area...they were soooooo cyuute! There were two of them...and they were playing with whatever toys that was available...next dad took us to the Shallow Pond...where i saw sea cucumbers, starfishes...a miniature version of a stingray...urm...i rmb there was a word 'sand' in the name but tat's all i remember...-_-" Had an excellent view of the sharks....man talk about humongous...its length was nearly my height if not greater!! There were Stingrays as well, clownfishes...lots of varieties.


My family oso caught the movie Planet SOS in 4D. That movie showed us abt the consequences tat wud happen if we continued our wasteful ways...so the main problems were...Deforestation, Global Warming and...Pollution!!! Yeap! Following that...were the rides...this time even my mum joined in...we went on the Bermuda Triangle and the Volcano Ride...hmm...we got wet for both rides....the photo that came out was pretty amusing..my brother looked as if he was trying to back out of the ride...LOLZ....and i couldn't duck because my brother was in front of me! Hehe....tat was for the Volcano Ride...


For the bermuda Triangle...the drop was less scary, shorter height and more gradual. The Volcano Ride's drop was close to a 90 degree drop....mightily steep!! We caught the Dolphin show! Amazing, Intelligent, Beautiful and Graceful creatures they were....even though they did the usual flips and walking on water with their tails...it never ceases to amaze me...but...i still think they look the best in their natural state...just swimming around and making calls...=) Still, kudos to the trainer's hardwork...it muz haf taken lots of discipline and focus to be able to do tricks like standing on two dolphins while they swim.. Ferris Wheel ride was a new attraction...it was a pretty stunning view from the top...although one of the passengers who was sitting with us had a fear of heights and did not dare look down...poor thing...i decided to show her on my phone instead...simple shot and hey presto! =) Scenery's on my phone!

During lunch, it rained...NOOOO!!! WASHOUT!! So we had no choice...but to just browse around the shops...and guess wad? we ran into the same guy who sat in the same carriage as us the previous day for the Cyclone ride. Talk abt yer major coincidence!! So we chatted for abit before going our seperate ways as dad wanted to check out the Sea-Lion Detective show. Hehe. The show was comical ... i haf a video...but due to some piracy copyright issues...i'm not allowed to show it...SORRY PEOPLE!!

Anywayz after tat the sun came out and it stopped raining!! YIPPE!! My brother and I decided to go for the Cockscrew ride...another roller-coaster...n voila! We met our friend again! LOL. But he was ahead of us...so he waited for us while my brother and i went for the ride...

The three of us then went off for the Bermuda Triangle and Volcano Rides again...well...again for my brother and i...cause our friend did not have the chance to go before it rained...so anywayz...while waiting for our turn...i asked him to guess my age. He looked at me and went: 13+? My brother burst out laughing. I was like...no...17! He nearly died of shock because I do NOT look the least bit 17...


Later on, we went for the Pirate Ship ride! And i couldn't stand straight after tat....then the guy suggested: Let's go on the Cockscrew Rollercoaster again! I nearly fainted....dad reckoned i looked hilarious on the ride...cause i was screaming and had my eyes shut while the guys around me were juz staring at me...-_-" Yup tat's all for Seaworld...so yea...we went back and tat's abt it...=)

Day 5: FREE AND EASY





Nothing much 2day...we juz went shopping...i bought one new mini skirt...a couple of sleeping shorts...my brother got half his new year's shopping done...he bought this really cool-looking tee tat had a skull on it...NICE...mum wasn't happy...DUH! She's never happy unless things go HER way...but i shan't touch on that...so yea...oh...at breakfast? Dad kinda' dropped the sugar packet in along with the sugar tat went into his coffee...so yea...we all juz shopped around today and walked and walked and walked some more...





Tat is....until dad suggested going to the beach! Yeah! The sand over there is REALLY soft...sort of like poweder...not the rough, coarse sand we get in Singapore at Sentosa or East Coast...the beaches there are much MUCH cleaner...and the waters are really cool....loved the beach there...and it was juz a few minutes walk from our hotel...Surfer's Paradise...this little boy stood next to me for awhile...then said: I love the way the waters dig a hole in the sand....i looked at him and merely smiled...then i screamed cause there was a huge wave coming towards me...it totally soaked my bermudas...ARGH!! Mum's gonna' murder me! So anywayz we trudged back to the hotel..half soaked and prayed tat we wud dry up before mum suspected anything...by the way...only dad, my brother and I went to the beach...dunno why mum didn't want to go...guess she's just not in tune with nature...unlike yours truly...

Day 6: Bye bye Australia...Hello Singapore!!


Well...2day we left Australia and boarded the plane...haizz was feeling a little nauseous on the plane...maybe because i haven't been eating well for the past whole week,...no idea why...i juz did not feel like eating....*shrugs* mum n dad keep asking me if i'm ok...and i was like...yea...why shouldn't i be? It's not like i'm bugged by some problem or anything...On the plane...i barely ate...just wanted to rest and watch movie...i so did not feel like stufing anything down my throat...when i got back to Singapore...well...i was dead tired...tat's one...and two...i didn't even eat dinner...so yea...got pretty weak and wanted nth more than go home and sleep........but i ended up dotaing instead...well...tat's another story...=)

Dreams

=P i decided to talk abt dreams 2day...since nth interesting has reali happened to me yet...except for the fact that i've been busy packing my stuff for my holiday trip! When am i flying off? 2morrow night...eesh!! WAAA!! NO DOTA FOR 7 DAYS!!! *flood* hmmm...*rubs chin* anywayz...yea...i have been dreaming more than usual these days...so i decided to talk on dreams..no not abt my dreams...abt dreams in general!


So...what exactly is a dream?

Well...some ppl reckon it's something like a movie which is being played out by our subconscious minds...it may have colours or it could be in black and white...the only thing different from the movies which we watch in the cinemas is that more often than not, our dreams have absoloutely no sounds...it's like...what you would call a 'silent movie'

Dreams can be both pleasant and unpleasant...do you ever realise that normally we'll start of with some nice, sweet dreams where we feel all warm and fuzzy...think happy thoughts...us being with our loved ones...being in a peaceful environment...yea

however, once dawn nears and we are just about to wake up...our nightmares begin. Yes. Now all thoughts of monsters, our loved ones leaving us, vampires, basically our fears and what pains us coming to life in our minds...then just as those fears catch up with us, our eyes snap open and we are brought back to reality. Nothing much actually...although some of us will haf cold-sweat n shivers...like me when i was young...a the age of 3 i remembered...i woke up sweating more than usual after waking up from a dream of vampires...yea.


So anyway, Dreams are surprisingly useful. Yup. Sometimes we may have a problem and ponder over it for a long preiod of time. Then suddenly in our dreams, a stroke of inspiration appears! I know it sounds far-fetched but it is true. That's how i solved a couple of my maths problems in my secondary and even JC years....and um...it doesn't merely apply to academics. occasionally we might face difficulties and problems in our lives as well. Socially, financially...yada yada...our dreams can sometimes, not always, give us solutions to these problems if we ponder hard enough over it. Try it. Who knows? It might work ;)

Ever heard of old wives' tale that goes something like what you dream of is the opposite of reality? Do you people believe in it? Well...i'll admit i do. There have been a couple of things that I have dreamt of...and only to wake up and find that it's the total n exact opposite. I dreamt that my friend hated me to the core and for the first time i was upset and nearly cried after waking up from the dream. It's juz a dream but it felt real. Nevertheless i realised ltr on that it wasn't true...my friend did not hate me in the least...so..wad do u guys think? Coincidence? Maybe...but 10 times of coincidence? now that's a little too much dun u think? Please feel free to share your thoughts with me on my tagboard =) Oh and of course...the most common aspects of dreams...deja vu...it's very common for me...i've experienced a sense of deja vu nearly all my life...sometimes the feeling doesn't juz come by once...it can come by 2x or 3x...pretty amazing eh? Ah...the wonders of our minds...


So what does our dreams signify?

Well...it all depends on what you dream of...i've got a few examples here....taken from various sites...the acknowledgements are all right at the bottom...


1. Anxiety ~ Your impatience is showing with a desired or feared coming situation, or event that has a measure of suspense.
2. Love ~ it could be a sign of wanting to be accepted by the one you love...or...Loving one's mate - Solely for your pleasure; Loving your ex mate you still want - Helping you to feel better. Loving your ex mate you don't want - Time to over come your negative emotions against them. Loving a friend or stranger when you are happily married - Your romance is getting too routine, time to spice it up a bit.
3. Crying ~ Release of emotion not related to the action in the dream that caused the crying. Regaining emotional balance.
4. Exam ~ Being put on the spot to prove oneself in ability, fidelity, loyalty, truthfulness.
5. Dream within a dream ~ Such a dream presents us with emotions or information we may be avoiding while awake. Usually a dream within a dream is a ploy one uses to explain away the impact of the feelings met - which is all the more reason to understand the dream.

6. Wolf ~ Peaceful: Coexistence with a threatening situation. On the prowl: Warning to be alert for treachery or loss.
7. Dolphin ~ Because dolphins are wild creatures of the sea that actively develop a relationship with humans, they are often taken to represent the contact and relationship we have with the deeply unconscious natural forces within. Such dreams suggest life is not simply operating blindly, but reaches out to us if we reach out to it.
8. Snake ~ An recurring issue that has not been resolved yet. Can involve treachery or sense of betrayal.
9. Cat ~ It represents your need to care for someone or be cared for, to have close physical contact. For some people a cat is a substitute baby, it can therefore depict the strong maternal feelings and desires. Or a male cat can represent male sex drive.
The term 'catty' refers to a spiteful woman. So if the cat in your dream is angry it might depict yourself if female, or feelings about a female friend.
10. Fox ~ A situation or personality that requires caution because of possible trickery, deceit.

Let's see...today's tuition was by far the BEST lesson that i've ever had...ironically it's also the last...considering there's no lesson in the December month. I guess that my teacher realised that i'm one of his weakest students...so...he put me n another of his weaker students together on the same table...AND he gave us questions that were of lower standards as compared to the rest of the class. I guess i was a little relieved that i wasn't the only one having problems...i really felt like a burden had been lifted off me...oh and yes...i could finally grasp the basic concept of the topic that we were doing. However...i should not be complacent because it's only the beginning..

After lesson, i played fooseball! Well...it nearly ended in a tie...until the last part where my opponent's mother came and gave him such a shock the ball went in and we won. gee whiz...wad a quirky way to win i admit...-_-"

That was about it...for the rest of the day...i stoned...

Full-day choir

Hmm...yesterday I had a whole day's worth of choir practice...I'll admit...it's one of the most fun practices which i have ever had with SAChorale. It started out horribly though...the weather was cold and wet...i juz wanna' snuggle in my nice warm n toasty bed...but er...well...if i do...i'll get into huge trouble...so ah well...drag myself out of bed...n i fell asleep in school while waiting for someone to open the Cultural Centre (well yea...tat's wad we call our auditorium) OMG!!!
Anywayz once we entered the CC, some of our fellow choir members were already there n they were complaining abt the heat because the air-conditioner wasn't turned on. I was quite contend with the temperature but decided to shut up. Started off the day with our usual warm-ups/stretches...warmed up with Duerme...then sang Laudate Dominum when our conductor arrived. After that, we broke for lunch!

Following lunch break, we did Beauty and the Beast Medley!! Now THAT'S when all the fun started...when we sang Be Our Guest...our conductor starts laughing at every french word we sing because apparently we sound reali weird...let's see.. the first time we saw the word "oui" which means "yes' in French...it was correctly pronounced as WEE but some ppl sang OI! I burst out laughing!! But we did enjoy singing the song in the end...learnt up the rest of the pieces...Belle...Something There...Gaston and The Mob Song...Gaston was a retarded song...tat's all i can say abt it...We all enjoyed singing The Mob Song...the part whereby the villagers were led by Gaston to kill the beast....*thinks for a moment* yea! there was a part where us Sops and Altos, basically the girls, had 2 describe the beast in a sing-song way...n er...well...it came out in such a way that the conductor told us it's as if we were describing a teddy bear...*so cyuute* we laughed. Mmm...when we FINALLY reached Beauty and the Beast...we were reali glad...the main theme of the song...we sang our hearts out...hehe....n tat was it...for the medley...

Oh...for Babarann...erm...we made some funny mistakes. For one, i admit, i nearly turned around at the wrong time...n next some choir members started a part of the choreo a little too early...but it was reali fun!! =)

Tat was it...an entire day's worth of choir practice!! YIPPEE!! Now wait for open house...*snigger*

MATH REMEDIAL BOOT CAMP!

MATH REMEDIAL BOOT CAMP! OH MY GOODNESS! 7 hours straight of Math...can u beat that?! Well...of course there was lunch break or else we'd all haf starved! Gathered in the LT at first...before we were split into groups according to our grades. INtitially there were 4 groups but the teachers decided to combine some of the groups together...why? Let's see..about half of them did not turn up...Apparently i was asked to take attendace for the WHOLE cohort...n i realised that wow...about half of them were absent...how sweet...the poor teachers...they worked so hard to organise the remedial camp and half of them did not turn up. Anywayz...the story gets better...abt half my class ran off during lunch break...n never did come back

Well...we went through Functions before lunch...and Graphing Techniques after lunch. Oh man...i was falling asleep after lunch break...for some reason i always feel sleepy after lunch for abt an hour or so before waking up again. By 2pm, i was already brain dead...n lesson was till 4:30pm...YIKES!! When lesson was over, I was sooo glad i could finally run home and take a snooze...-_-"

Dont mention abt the second day...it was even worst...there were even less people who turned up...!! But thanfully it was only up till 2 plus...unlike the previous day where it was till 4:30pm...n i nearly fell asleep in class...man! But the 2nd day was worst...cos i was still kind of drained out from the previous day so...i kinda' had my head on the table...n my tutor came from behind n gave me a little squeeze on the top of my back...which i immediately jerked up from...
We did Differentiation for the first half and Trigo for the 2nd half...Trigo was a topic which we already went through...but because it was a touch-and-go topic...er...i think some of us din reali get it...so she went through in detail...oh one more thing...i found out that the OTHER teacher...Mr. Toh...had the same surname as my secondary school assistant conductor: Terrence Toh...

Well...went for choir practice at my college again...in the morning...yeap! I missed choir practice...my friends, the songs we learnt...yup! All the good ol' times. We learnt a new song 2day...erm...kinda' forgot the title...ran through Laudate Domino...one of our SYF pieces for this year...oh yes! We learnt one new Medley today...it's a famous Disney Classical...BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! HAHAHA! Ok...anywayz i reali envied the Sopranos cause they all got the melody lines as usual...-_-" we Altos were stuck with singing the accompliment...hehe i'm not complaining...nice to sing sth different once in awhile i guess.

Slept the ENTIRE afternoon after reading my book because i was exhausted...from this morning's physical training before choir. We ran 5/6 rounds around the basketball court...played running games...thank goodness i din reali haf to run much...*snigger*

Ran into my cousin during dinner at our usual hangout Suntec City Guildhouse...we played Pool...n for some reason i kept hitting the white ball into the hole...which was pretty annoying as i gave the next person LOTS of set-ups...no fair...i was thinking...whoever who is after me is darn lucky...I lost the game in the end...came in 3rd amongst the 3 of us...me, my cousin n my brother...following that we went WINDOW SHOPPING!! Actually it was juz walking with LOTS of talking...hmm...went to Gelate and ate waffles with ice-cream...yummy yum yum!!! XD
Then went home n slacked/stoned in front of the labtop...which i am still doing...XD

Marriage/Divorce...er...

I must be crazy to blog about this...considering i'm a mere 17-year-old (well 16 actually...but turning 17 on 27th December *hint hint*) Anywayz back to the point...yea...as i was saying...i'm too young to blog abt this when i have absoloutely no experience on this... but after looking through a particular joke book...i was reali on these two issues...

Ok first...Marriage...wad is it? Some ppl say Marriage is the most impt day of anybody's life because that is when you officially say goodbye to your carefree, singlehood life and hello to sharing your life with someone for eternity.

What i find amusing and intriging is that when couples get married, their vow almost always includes: Till Death Do Us Part...and what happens? They file for divorce before wrinkles even start appearing on their faces! Couples do quarrel for the most trivial reasons i feel...like the way they should raise their kids (my parents are classic examples...one wants us 2 be independent kudos to that one the other showers us with PLENTY of love...in a weird way...) , or when suspicions of the other party having an outside affair takes over(happened to mua friends but i shan't say any names...DUH!)
It could also be when neither wants to give in, one party is too stressed out by the other party...yea..plenty of reasons...of course the MOST common reason is...*drum roll* Adultery...yeap! Well...since you've already vowed to be together with your partner for life...through thick n thin, pain, sickness blah blah blah...i'm not gonna' list the entire things out...why let a third party interfere? I mean...if there's anything u're unhappy with the other party, sit down n talk it out! It is during this period of uncertatinty between couples that third parties normally find it best to...erm...how should i put it...attack! THe result? Let's see...probably lots of hysterical screaming and threats of divorce coming out...yeap!

Well...ok maybe the time period is a little exaggerating...normally the time period isn't this short...but sadly that is the truth...it is what's happening between many couples these days. For a period of time, the wife will listen to what the husband says and rarely talks back...this is the period where the newlyweds are the happiest together...new life fresh start...everything!
HOwever as time goes by, the woman changes...for some reason which i haf no idea why...hey! i'm a 17-year-old i haven't gone through that phase yet so dun ask me! Apparently she becomes more self-opiniated and she talks more while the husband listens more...
Later on, when the husband bottles up too much and explodes, hey presto! we have a huge argument coming our way...and yea...sometimes it gets so rowdy and loud that the neighbours can hear...
Following that...though only in EXTREME cases...they end up in court filing for a divorce fighting for custody of the children, who should get what properties...yea...


*scritch scratch scritch* husbands and wives should definitely treasure the relationships that they share...it's not very often that u come across someone who is willing to share and live their lives with you forever. Come on...do things that both parties enjoy...there must be some common interest right?? TO all the husbands out there, just accompany your wives to go shopping once in awhile it won't hurt! Yea u'll get bored but just bear with it...it'll do your relationship some good...To all the wives out there? do NOT be OVER suspicious of your husbands...it's ok to get jealous once in awhile...spices up the relationship a little actually...but don't go overboard or there's gonna' be a problem...

movie n some crazy fun...

Today...well... went over to my friend's place to watch a movie...before that...i had to endure a couple of hours watching my brother n my friend playing games on their labtops ...like Gunz...O2Jam...i can't rmb if they played Dota...anywayz i was reali thankful that i brought my book along...n i had a dog to play with...his name's Jackie...or Jacky...geez...sry i dunno how 2 spell...

Anywayz we finally left to borrow a dvd...hmm...decided on the 2nd part of the series of Resident Evil. Then 2 of our friends joined us...at first it was juz me, my brother n my friend will...then another two meg n luke joined us. How nice...(no sarcasm here peeps) Anywayz the movie was pretty interesting...i haf only watched the first of the series...so yea...guess next time i'll borrow the 3rd ...Extinction. Hehe.

Following that, while my bro n will played Gunz on their labtop, the rest of us played Dai Dee. Of course i lost the game...we played fishing which i won...n Cheat(or as meg calls it, Bulls**t)which i lost too...

So where does the crazy fun part come in? Now. Apparently Meg carried me n turned around n around until i became very VERy dizzy. not to mention i was being carried in a horizontal position...like when a groom carries his bride...n erm...she even piggy-backed me...but that wasn't so bad...oh! we tried doin the Ballroom Dancing thingy...n i think i nearly stomped on her foot...a couple of other crazy things happened...but well...i guess this is enough...

Oh! i juz realised...i left my story book back at my friend's place...oh crude...-_-"

BORED!!!!!!!!!

2day i stoned the entire day...well...almost the entire day...i had Physics tuition in the morning...n i gotta' admit..,my teacher's a little crazy...FUN...but crazy too...well perhaps it's just his style of getting our attention...LOL. Learnt Magnetism...a J2 topic...had homework...decided 2 try it out at home...

But when i came home...i stoned in front of my labtop...watching horror movies...eesh...anything but work...i dotaed for awhile with my two friends...usin my brother's labtop cos my labtop was juz too laggy...anywayz i got totally owned...i reali need to brush up my skills...either that or get a new labtop...because my current one is infected so badly i think it's impossible to clear it...-_-"

OUTING WIF ME BEST FRIEND!!

LOLZ 2day i celebrated my best friend's birthday with her for the first time...=) Well...there were 5 of us...n we all met back at our secondary school...which is where we all got to know each other...Me, Meg, Chi Ping, Candice n Marilyn...of course meg, marilyn n i had 2 buy the cake first...so we walked all the way to our secondary school(TKSS)from Parkway Parade...i sooo decided to wear the WRONG pair of shoes cos i had NO idea there'd be sooo much walking...thank goodness i had on some plasters on my feet...if not my feet would have had quite a number of blisters on it...well...part of the skin on my little toe came off but it wasn't that painful so i guess i could live with it. Hmm...next time i shan't wear any shoes other than sports shoes...unless i'm goin out with my parents (cause I know they do not walk at a very fast pace...)

ANywayz we initially wanted to cut the cake on the rooftop of my meg's condo...but it looked like it was going 2 rain...so we had it in a sheltered area instead...oh well...better than nth ;) took some great photos together...one of them included us pretending to bask n enjoy ourselves in the sun...though there wasn't a single ray of sunlight in sight...-_-" after that we took off to Tampines Mall to watch a movie...THE GAME PLAN! Man was that show hilarious...we were laughing non-stop...it was quite sad towards the ending....but the ending was a happy one...thankfully or else i'd haf needed tissue...

At the end of the day...well...all good things come to an end...guess we'll haf another outing another time...for now it is goodbye...but i'd juz like 2 say that it's been really fun having the outing/celebration...=)


Backtracking a little...on thursday when I had 2 return to school for Insights and Reflections (I & R for short). Apparently I found my seat level a little too low...so i decided to adjust it...n pulled the lever...but it went up a little too high...so i tried to sit on it/apply pressure on it to lower the seat. I couldn't do it...cos i was apparently too light...in the end i asked my friend who was sitting next to me to help me...talk about embarrassing...eesh...can't believe it man...i must have broken world record...-_-"

Anywayz that's all for 2day...i'll have to sleep now...really tired...

Currently in school...typing my post AND doin I&R at the same time...yup something like multi-tasking. Had a really bad morning....first i had a headache...then my mum started screaming at me brightly early for various things; asking me wad time i hafta go to school, putting the cordless phone in my bag, askin me wad i am wearing to school...ArgH!! Basically she just drove me crazy...the moment she left the house, i grabbed my pillow and SCREAMED!!!!!!! in fustration...n because of that stupid headache which aggravated things...i was soooo upset i tell u...oh...last night? My mum NEARLY made a spectacle of herself in public. Cos i was eating something n apparently the food i ate had problems travelling down my gullet(oesophagus). Mum gave me a i-told-you-so look n said: i told u to eat slowly right? My wonderful brother replied: no n she kinda' blew up...her voice raised. I immediately told her off n reminded her tat she was in public n not at home...n she said she din care! I was thinking...right....we argued for abit n i gave in...
I'm scared...i'm really scared...i guess i'm no longer the person i used to be...bubbly cheerful...all i want to do now is to coil up n rest...i'm exhausted...

A Lvls: Mother Tongue and PW...

Mmm...recently i juz had two of my A level papers ... Mother Tongue and PW(Project Work)...Mon was MT...n today was PW...actually to be more specific...it was the Oral Presentation section of my Project Work...

MOTHER TONGUE:
It so wasn't a good day for me...why? Let's see...i kinda' made a grave mistake by bringing my CONFIRMATION SLIP instead of my ENTRY PROOF! Talk about your dumbest mistake...never mind that...my class kinda' wasted half an hour in order to get the seating arrangements right...thanks to the screwed up seating plans n best part? the students were being made to walk around n they were being shuffled all around...it was gettin kinda' irritating to watch them being thrown from one place to another...but oh well who am i to speak? I didn't bring my entry proof...-_-" still...it wasn't totally the fault of the students that time was wasted...so i din get why that teacher from dunno-wad-school scolded the whole grp of us hu din bring the entry proofs as if it was totally our fault...ah well...

anywayz the chinese paper itself...er...let's just say i was trying to find out where in the booklet was i supposed to start on my essay...because the first page stated: 1.1 1.2 1.3...n i believe that essay questions have never been divided into 3 parts...shortly after i found out where exactly i was supposed to write my essay(which was on the 11th page) the invigilator announced which page it was...i was like...erm...a bit late hor?? but never mind better late than never...i reckon...i found the Paper 2 segment a little on the tough side...but still doable...mmm...tat's all for chinese...


PROJECT WORK:
Ah PW...which was today...this morning to be exact...thank goodness my LAST PW grp member turned up...i was worried sick that he would not have turned up. Anywayz...i thought today wasn't as bad as i expected...even though my hands were slightly trembling and believe me I was seriously nervous...i managed to keep my voice calm n steady...*shrugs* Although I thought i was the worst speaker amongst my grp...after all they all had sth funny whilst i did not...cause i really had no idea how 2 incorporate jokes into my section which was on the Development, Importance n Impact of Sanitization. As my teacher mentioned, I had to be serious so there really was no way I could have made it funny...think i screwed up Q n A though...ARGH!!! Oh well...tat's about it though...*yawn* now i need a nap...real tired...-_-"

Oral Presentation

Oral Presentation...my teacher told me that I have to speak louder...which is kind of ironic actually...since i remembered him saying that those who are unable to project their voices should attend choir practices...n here I am a true choir member being asked to speak louder. My first OP dry run was quite amusing actually...because when i was presenting one of my grp members sneezed and out of sheer habit I turned around and said "bless you". Problem? After I turned back, I momentarily forgot where i presented my part till...thank goodness i found got back on track...
For the second OP...i was audible this time round...though after watching the video...I felt that i swayed too much...my content required a lot of editing...AND last of all i realised tat i sound like a little kid...which kinda' freaked me out...because i had no idea i sounded like that...NOW i know why my friends say i sound younger than i actually am...
I realised one thing...the Oral Presentation component of Project Work can really test the limits of many people. Some of them are getting very stressed out...some on the verge of breaking down...others actually broke down. I guess Kudos to those who are able to withstand the pressure of the Oral Presentation...perhaps they're very fortunate to have supportive group members or they don't care...let's hope it's not the latter..........
Now...I'm rehearsing my newly edited script...i do hope i do not stumble in any ways...if not i'll juz scream once i'm done n have left the exam venue a.k.a. classroom....no chocolates/too much fried food/spicy food for the time being...dun wanna' lost my voice before my presentation...or else i'll just be shooting myself in the foot.

Mm...friday...ah yes...it was Thanksgiving chapel...got a second chance to witness the Holy Communion...my first time was in Finland when i performed at a church...it was also a farewell chapel for our Principal...there was a couple of performances..some of them were the combined efforts of a couple of CCAS...however most of them only involved the president and vice-president / chairman and vice-chair...a few exceptions were the SFC(Saints for Christ) the CCA of yours truly...the Choir. We were asked to wear the maroon pullover for the choir members..n i realised tat the fibres got stuck to your uniform afterwards...man did my friends n i haf a fantastic time trying to pull the fibres off...geez...
I only managed to watch the rehearsals for the other items because we were asked to warm-up on the actual day itself...thus we had no time n missed the performances of the other items...sad isn't it? ah well...at least i managed to record some of the items onto my phone...better than nothing...
Guess tat was about it...went home after that n slept...because that morning i had 2 wake up earlier than usual...after all we were performing so we had 2 make our way there early in order to make our preperations...n oh screw...my 'backspace' key has a problem...n my 'n' key as well...fantastic...

Alas...the Report Slip!

Right...first of all i think i really have to thank my teachers for helping me...because i haf no idea how my rank points could have gone up to 34 points from a mere 30 points. As I was looking through the overall points for the first time...i was a little surprised because i had 32 points when i remembered my points being 30...n it was because my Math became an E instead of an S.
2day, as I looked at my report slip...i saw an E instead of an S which i was supposed to obtain for my Economics...so i guess that kind of explained where the extra 4 points came from...although it was just a conditional promotion for me...i guess i should be glad for being given a second chance...
Although...after reading the comments on my report slip...i was thinking...should i continue with JC? or should i opt out and try another route of studying...like...let's say...Poly? Am I not just not cut out for JC? Should I reali withdraw from JC and experience something else...? I do not know...I guess i'll give myself a chance until my first block test next year. If i still do not make the mark and am unable to catch up, I guess i will just leave.
Thankfully the holidays are here...time to make use of the holiday to study hard...catch up...and also to think about then 3 options which i haf:

1) remain in JC n continue the same course

2) remain in JC but change course(which is impossible unless i get thrown back to J1)

3) Go to Poly and take Mass Communication which I know i haf the aptitude for

Well...in the meantime i guess i'll just concentrate on my Chinese A levels(which is like nxt monday) and my Project Work(which reminds me...gotta' edit my script)
I'm juz afraid that if i go to poly...my aunt/uncle will start their lectures at me...considering all of my cousins so far have gone to Junior Colleges...and to be exact...it's EXCELLENT colleges...Raffles, Temasek, National...one's even in NUS High...the pressure is really great on me...if I quit JC halfway and enter poly...wad will they think of it? Ok it doesn't matter if they think badly of me...but i'm worried for my parents...and to make matters worst i've got one Uncle who seriously does not know how to zip his mouth...and i'm scared that he'll aggravate the situation which is already bad enough...
Haizz...BUT...all these will only happen if I enter poly...on the other hand if i stay on i have no idea if i can keep up and survive or i will just be digging a grave for myself...sighz.......

Thoughts: Well i feel that this passage has a really deep meaning to it...it tells us about life...n how we should live our lives...basically telling us to be optimistic ..."Be Cheerful" and "Strive to be happy". It's no use being stressed out...brooding over matters that have already happened...we can't change the past...but we can mould our future with our own hands...it tells us how important each and everyone of us are...n that we should cherish the lives given to us. Birthday Surprise...??

let's see...this morning i had choir practice...apparently we haf a new member...his name is Anson...he looks nice...wonder how his character is like...well i didn't really get to talk to him...guess i'll juz wait until he warms up to all of us...=)

Well...2day my dad told me that we were having dinner at a different place...n my mum told me we were having dinner with our cousins. O..k...i was wondering...what exactly is going on? I found out after the ENTIRE meal was taken...including desert...the food was delicious...i remembered my brother and I were trying to outwit each other's sarcasm...took some great photos with my cousins...after all it had been awhile since we last saw each other...sadly one of my cousin is in Virginia...so she couldn't join us..oh well...i shall tell her all about it online i guess...
As i was saying...after the meal...one of the waitresses brought out a cake. My jaw dropped...not literally of course...and THEN i found out...OH! it' s my grandmother's BIRTHDAY! We took MORE photos...of my grandmother n my uncles doin some weird Superman poses...-_-" even i was stunned.

Guess tonight was really a surprise for me...oh well...i'm tired now...goin 2 sleep...

can't think...

O..k...i admit...2day's the first time i actually slept during a lecture. Geez...guess i was really tired. There wasn't much...ok...ANY copying to do...it was just listening as the teacher droned on n on n on n on......so finally my head juz nodded n nodded until i fell asleep. I did wake up a few times though...juz to make sure the teacher wasn't staring in my direction...i think she caught me though..juz tat she let me off...hmmmm.....
After an hours worth of econs lecture, i had CHINESE! A levels chinese is coming up so i'm not the least surprised i guess...now our teacher loves using pictures/symbols to represent some of the words. IN the end, my cg had a ball of a time trying to figure out the words...one even commented that it was hard to decipher the codes...which i totally agreed. It was pretty interesting though...if u think abt it when the entire lesson is over..
Well...there's reali nth much 2 say i guess...now i'm still worried abt my promotion...but not as worried as when i first started...=) which is a good thing...i hope...-_-"

Weird actually...I thought I had an S for my math...apparently i got an E...geez...wonder wad happened during the churning of the overall results...oh well guess i shall never know...
Anywayz i'm hoping for the best for everyone...especially those who are on borderline cases...

Hmmm...bought a new book...Humour of the Sexes...tells jokes that are related to dating and marriage btwn males and females...pretty hilarious actually if u ask me. It's on sale in SAJC Popular Bookstore...if given a chance i reckon u should read it...=)

Promos Results...*sigh*

Let's see...i got S for Econs...overall as well...since i got S as well for my COmmon Test n i wasn't exactly outstanding for my tests...so yea...
GP....i ended up with an overall E...how nice...at least i passed this time round...I got an S for my COmmon Test...geez....hope my CA (i.e. my other tests, essays and compres) can push up my grades a little...although reality probably says: FAT HOPE.

Nothing much actually...juz that now i have 29 or 30 rank points...which means i'm screwed. because my school requires me to get at least 35 points to get promoted...i wish i could get at least a conditional promotion though...oh well...i'll juz go along with what Fate has in store for me...n my friend is right...i am lucky to have supportive people around me n not having to face any queer teachers...=)

Now....I juz want to rest...and calm myself...before anything else...oh yes n concentrate on my A level Chinese plus PW as well...

Class outing!

Haha. went out wif my cg 2day...after a few hours of persuasion from my mum before she finally let me go! Hmm...i think i know why...she's probably juz worried for me. After all, there has been newspaper articles that children n kids can drown in beaches...so i can understand.
One more thing...mum's kinda' superstitious...and i guess she believes in spirits which might result in bad luck if you encounter one. This is probably why she's worried about me staying up late so she asked me to go back early...didn't matter much...i had 2 attend to something as well anywayz...so there...
The barbeque was fun!! Even though it rained, we remained patient n did some things to entertain ourselves to wait for the rain to stop....which mostly included taking photos, snacking...i sketched some pictures of trees but they didn't turn out reali nice because i was half-asleep...LOL.
THe rain did slow a little after awhile...so i decided to take a walk on the sand and let the waves wash over my feet. The water felt really warm and nice on my feet...a little sandy but who cared? I closed my eyes and merely enjoyed the sensation...and woke up only after i nearly fell down from a strong current...-_-"
When the caterer reached East Coast Park(where we were having our BBQ), we started cooking! WOOHOO! That was when my eyes teared a lot because of the intense smoke. I helped to cook the food...so that's why my eyes were brimming with tears. Oh well...i can't blame anyone...since i volunteered to cook on the wrong side...well...tat's wad i get i guess...no matter...the food was yummy!! N i er...accidentally burnt my friend with the tongs i used to cook the food with...poor chap...i was apologising n felt really bad...someone got hurt because of my own carelessness...later on he took extra precautions n moved my hand(with the tongs) away before he stepped in to help...LOLZZZ...
Hehe. Really wished i could have stayed for the games though...but i had ta' go off...sighz...oh well tat's all i guess...now i better sleep...school starts in 8 hours time.....

outing!

Went out with my friends n brother 2day...as usual i was the only girl *shrugs* oh well...hu cares... anywayz we went to Marina Square to watch a movie. Initially, we were keen on watching Resident Evil: Extinction but too bad it was NC16 n my brother was only 13 years old...so too bad i guess...we ended up watching Mr Woodcock...which was really hilarious. I shan't be a spoiler...if u would like to know about the show you could either read it up or go book a ticket n watch...=)
I realised mid-way during the show why it was PG...apparently i could hear the F word being used very vividly...n there were plenty of coarse language, i felt.
Before that, we were at my friend's place. Wow. The dog loved all of our legs man...but i think i got the worst off it. I have no idea what Jacky(the dog) was trying to do...it kept jumping on my leg and while it's trying to get a better grip, clawed at my legs...leaving many MANY scratch marks on my poor leg. I was literally wincing in pain throughout. Finally i decided to sit on the chair cross-legged. That helped...for awhile...until Jacky raised itself onto it's hindlegs and placed it's two front paws on the chair. I backed as far away as i could because i seriously did NOT want anymore scratch marks...
*Yawn* and now i'm beat...so i guess i'll go sleep first...havin a bad headache and feeling reali sick...

Depressed...

OH my goodness...i got back the rest of my results today...except Economics...my Math was an S!! and Physics was a U!!! Sighz...well on the bright side i noe that i could have at least passed my GP...after my friend caculated for me...i realised i need at least 6 points to get a clear-cut promotion...any less and it's conditional promotion for me...

I was nearly in tears when i realised the gravity of the situation...eve though i do have an alternative...which is to go Ngee Ann Poly and do Mass com...similar to my neighbour hu did one year of JC...gave up n ended up in Poly the following year. I know i haf the aptitude for it but i shall only use it as a last resort...if possible i'd rather get promoted with the rest of the class...-_-"

I must say though...i'm really thankful for the friends that i have...who are encouraging me and supporting me all the way through...both physically n spiritually...friends from MJC, Poly...hu pray for me...i'm reali thankful for that...i feel extremely blessed =)

Hmm...i bought a new book today...Dragon Keeper...decided to read it to take my mind off things...or else i'll juz EMO for the rest of the night...haha....yea right...guess i better sleep...2morrow's gonna' be a looong day for me...

ALAS! THE MOMENT OF TRUTH

U guessed it! I got a couple of my promo results back 2day...there was an improvement shown...although i'm not too sure if it'll help in my promotion...because mostly the improvements r one grade only...unlike my friend hu jumped from a U to a B for his Chem...man do i envy him...o anywayz here r the current results that i've received...

Chem: E ; General Paper: D(for paper 2) ; Chinese: B

Well i guess i'm neutral to my subject grades...i am juz very VERY worried that it is insufficient to pull my grades up...esp adding up my tests and my Common Test(which i totally blew). I get the feeling my grades will be pulled DOWN instead of UP...geez...
Now i'm waiting(anxiously) for my Economics and Physics results...oh...plus my OTHER GP paper...because currently i only know the results for my comprehesion(paper2)...i have no idea wad my compo results are...i heard that the passing rate was quite low though...for General Paper...pretty scary actually.

Well...enough about results...the more i talk about it the more depressed i feel...but i guess i must thank my friend who told said to "Trust in the Lord with all your soul"...n to cheer up even if i hit a hard rock once in awhile...(NOT LITERALLY! if i do hit a hard rock literally i'll break wadeva part of my body that hit it!)


07S07 is puttin up a performance 2morrow...HAHA. I thought my first performance with the choir would be next week which is the end-of-term chapel. I had no idea it would be with my cg...along with my teacher hu will be singing! MAN! TALK ABOUT COOL! I guess i'll go into more detail abt how the performance went 2morrow...n perhaps more on my results...so check back soon!! =)

Tattoos!!! =)

Yoz! I believe that all of u noe wad a tattoo is right? Even if u never had one on your own skin...you would have at least heard of or seen someone with it right? To be honest...i used to enjoy pasting fake tattoos on myself...especially butterflies...n roses...in fact i still do...except that i draw on myself instead. Well, some people DO find it a little weird or lame...however, i beg to differ.

I myself feel that Tattoos give one a chance to express themselves in an artistic manner as well. Tattoos, like drawing/painting, is an art as well. People get tattoos for various reasons...some may be due to peer pressure, some juz want to stand out from the crowd n be unique, for some it's because of their culture...yes some groups do mark themselves with tattoos....when i say groups i meant tribes and not gangsters, even if they do get tattoos to mark themselves n be able to tell who their 'brothers/sisters' are by the marks on their bodies.

Just like how painters and artistes use paintbrushes and pencils respectively to draw on paper, tattoo artistes replace paper with skin and use ink.

There are fake tattoos and real tattoos. Fake tattoos are mostly the paste-on types...which u can easily remove with alcohol or baby oil...
Real tattoos however, are a total different story. The ink is injected into your body...which means there is no way that the tattoo can be removed...it will stay with you for the rest of your life...it becomes part of you...part of your identity. The only way to remove it is to cut off that patch of your skin...which isnt a painless process...au contraire...it's reali painful...(like DUH)
I was reading the latest issue of Readers Digest (Oct 2007) Brass, a character from the show Miami Ink, gives his advise to those who would like a tattoo...the Dos and Don'ts...

DO have a good idea of what u want to get...exactly!!
DO realise that a tattoo is FOR LIFE!
DO research your art AND your artist before getting tattooed. I believe for the artist part many of you should know why...i mean...if your artist is some Tom, Dick and Harry who juz grabs any needle n pokes into your skin...n u happen to be THAT unlucky because the previous person hu used that needle has some sort of disease...good luck to u man!
The art that u want to get is also important to be reasearched on...because sometimes we may not know it but the logo/picture/design we want is for some kind of cult or the devil in other cultures that we might not have heard of...and also if there happens to be a gang with that design as their mark...yea...so ALWAYS ALWAYS RESEARCH YOUR ART N ARTIST!!

DON'T walk into a tattoo shop on a whim to get inked because you're not going to get the best work you can get. If u want to get inked on impulse, go slap a fake tattoo on yourself man! I think that's a better idea...because the chances of you wanting to change your mind about that design which u wanted on a whim is reali high. With a fake tattoo...u can juz wash it off anytime n get a new one..

Me? Let's see...i would not mind having a fake tattoo on myself...those stick-on kinds...a design that is associated with water...healing...emotions...that is what i want...hehe...although i'll probably get slaughtered first....after all...mum wasn't exactly ecstatic the last time i slapped a tattoo on myself...-_-"

Continous PW...geez...

AHH! OH my goodness gracious me!! 2day apparently there was a 8-hour straight PW crashcourse for all J1s in SAJC! I was like...r u kidding me? 8 hours straight? I'd die! By the end of the day i was totally braindead...scratch that...by the end of lunch i was already brain dead. My teammates n i were like...trying to squeeze out every last bit of brain juice we had left inside our head to think of something!! YIKES! But well...thankfully there was a break for a light snack (a half an hour one) and lunch( which was an hour). After lunch, i came back n realised tat none of my grp mates were back yet...so i decided to jam a little. (in other words i played O2Jam...teehee...) anywayz when i was playin halfway, i heard my teacher's voice n i jumped. I had a good mind 2 slam shut my labtop but then it was too late...to my surprise though he juz watched me play n even asked me about the game. I was both surprised n relieved.

Anywayz, promo results are out soon...i guess even it's not surprisig that some of us aren't in the mood for PW...since we're all worried abt promo results...but my friend's right...Promo results r 2morrow whereas PW stuff's like next week...? Sighz..i think i should go prepare to get retained...either that or ask for some alternative routes.............oh well...guess i should juz be prepared for the very worst

bored!!

Yo peeps! i'm currrently in school...yea i'm using their computer...cos i'm reali reali bored!! Argh! i'm stuck here until choir starts at 1:30pm!! oh my goodness...hmmm....maybe i should sleep for awhile...since i'm sooooo tired....sighz.......i think i'm comin down with a cold...i walked in the rain yesterday....even with the umbrella? the wind was so strong it blew the rain right into my face...i was sooooooooooo absoloutely soaking wet...n i kept sneezing after that....best part? i was goin 2 watch a movie in the theatre...oh man i was already drenched n freezing cold...n i was goin into the air-conditioned cinema...how nice...
But the movie was reali worth it...Balls of Fury...LOL. It was reali hilarious...i was laughing so much i had a tummy ache...-_-" I shan't be a spoiler to those hu did not watch...haha...the only thing i can say is that there were quite a bit of retarded n sick parts.
Ok...guess i better go...i'd looove to find some place to sleep......seriously...haha...ok ciao people!

Promos r over!

Finally! Saint Andrew's Junior College year-1 promos r over! Math was fine...definitely...but my physics...i gave up halfway during the paper n nearly cried!!! AHHH!!! I totally blanked out...

Anywayz...after the paper...because of the fact that we were the last group of people to use the hall...we had to stack up ALL the tables n chairs n bring 'em back to the storeroom. Hehe. My class was lucky though...07S07...because on the day that we were supposed to set up the tables n chairs...we did more than our fair share...so in return we didn't haf 2 clear up. My cg(it's like a class but in JC we call it C.G. a.k.a. Civics Group) I went PL for awhile with 2 of my cgmates...Jeriel n Tham...haha. Played dota...n i kena' owned by Tham...eesh...he saw me n attacked me...i ran for my life but couldn't run away in time...haizzz i'm a total noob man...sheesh!!

Later in the day, I went over to MJC for it's open house. OH MY GOODNESS! I met quite a number of people from my primary school...one even gave me a candle in some sort of container...the container was red in colour n it was translucent...reali beautiful....i ran into my best friend CHI PING! n we hung out for as long we could...haha. (Someone thought she was my sister...LOL) Anywayz there was some kind of mass dance finals...i supported Callisto!! Well...i was supposed to be in Callisto if my appeal to SAJC was unsuccessful n i had remained in MJC...so i was cheering for Callisto!!! They didn't win...but i juz wud like 2 say: EXCELLENT JOB CALLISTO!! WOOHOO!!

Those things happened yesterday. This morning...i had choir practice...for Physical Training...we did something different 2day...instead of making us run around the track...we played running games...one was Husband n Wife...one was Freeze n melt. Mm...to all those hu do not know Freeze n melt...it's ice n water...if u still dunno wad it is...it's a game similar to catching...except that when u're caught u do not become the catcher immediately but u merely stay on the spot n can't run unless another player frees you. The number of lives determines the number of times u are allowed to be caught before u become the catcher.
For Husband and Wife, everyone finds a partner....n then among all the pairs, one of them has to be selected to be the runner n catcher. The runner has to run towards any of the pairs...so if let's say he runs to the pair wif ppl A and B, if he stands nxt to A, B has to run off whereas if he stands nxt to B, A has to run away. N when B/A runs off...he/she cannot run to the pair tat's nxt to the spot where they were originally positioned. I was really 'lucky'...i got the fastest runner...n i was caught...but oh well...i managed to catch the next person in a few minutes so it wasn't TOO bad...
oh...SAChorale...i wud like 2 say 2day was a reali fun choir practice....haha...n i muz say it was fun n innovative of Mr Tay to comes up wif games that helps improve our sense of pulse...haha. Ok...i guess tat's it...ciao!

Promos so far...

PROMOS! Well well...finally found a bit of time to post sth abt my final term examination papers so far...Let's see...I'll go according to the sequence of my papers...startin from my General paper...

1. General Paper: It wasn't too bad...juz tat a few days after my GP i realised that i could actually add one more point into my essay. I selected a topic that was sth on Technology complicating our lives more than necessary...since i enjoy reading on Technology...the various caterogies n groups...n the applications on our lives...the qn after that was a total giveaway but I realised that i would have a little problem tackling that qn...
Comprehension was all right...as in the questions were not TOO bad...BUT I only fully understood the meaning of the passage 5 minutes after the paper ended...can u beat that? Oh vocab? I screwed it up...totally...

2. Chinese: HELL! I stared at the first 3 questions n i was totally stunned. But the passages that came after that was...manageable...i guess...not much for chinese...accept that my hand was in pain after the paper...because our compo n main paper were 3 hours straight...first hour n a half? compo...remaining time? main paper...i was writin continuously n in the end my hand was shaking after the paper...hehe

3. Chemistry: It was a total massacre!!!! I completely forgot all my Organic Chem reactions...i remembered the reagents n conditions...but i forgot which belonged to which reactions...i totally screwed up the paper man....sighz........n i was so depressed after the paper tat i missed my stop AND nearly got ran over by a concrete-mixer...

4. Economics: Ok this was not too bad a paper...although i din manage to finish it...especially the essay part...case study was all right...but i guess i spent a little too much time on it...opportuinity cost...fellow students hu learn Economics u'd noe wad i'm sayin...

I still have got my Math n Physics paper to go before freedom...well...TEMPORARY freedom i guess....that's all diary. Ciao

WHAT IS LOVE? (Special Edition~~)

Well peeps...I was juz thinking abt sth...i was thinking about the word "Love" What is love actually? Is it just a feeling? Or is it something more? Is it similar to our other normal senses? Touch? Sight? Hearing? Smell? Taste? or is it slightly different? How does it affect these senses?

Incidentally, Love does actually have an enormous control over our other feelings and actions. Love also does make one do crazy things..Those who have been in love before would or should know...when you love someone...most of the time our other senses are dulled by this.
~Sight: As they say "Love is blind" When u're around with the person u love very much, u will be in oblivion. Someone sittin around you can wave his or her hand and put up neon signs in front of you or do some drastic things...n you will notice nothing else but the person you love.
~Smell? Perhaps you will be more sensitive to the smell of that person? By the way, I'm SO NOT talking about body odour here...it could be the soap or shampoo that person uses...or perfume perhaps...some form of unique smell...
~Hearing? Of course when the person you love talks, you will lose track of most of the other things except what the person you love is saying...well not to the extent that someone has 2 scream at u to get your attention...tat only happens in dramas...someone probably haf to juz give you a hard poke in your ribs.
~Taste? Well...2 possibilities...either everything tastes REALLY scrumptious or everything tastes like old cardboard...It all depends on the individual himself i guess...

For one...Love really does make you do crazy things...to be with the person you love...you can forgo your own interests juz to satisfy the person u love...argue with your parents juz cos they find the person u love detestable...n the worst of it...sacrifice yourself...ok dramas show people sacrificing their lives for the person they love...i have not heard of such things...but if u do noe about something like that...pls feel free to leave a comment...=)

Love is more than a feeling...tat's definitely true...it's more than a mere emotion...Love is something that can influence our thinking, our way of life, our characters...yes...even our characters. Sounds unbelievable? Well...one may be born a reali cheerful, happy-go-lucky person. However, once he/she is in love n realizes that the person they're in love with likes someone else...more often than not they'll become very quiet and reserved. Of course...it will only happen if this happens repeatedly...not juz once.
Likewise, one may come across to be a selfish, ignorant stupid brat...not stupid in a literal sense by the way...but if he /she gets to experience what true love is like...what it is like to be loved...you will see an obvious change in his/her character...Love CAN really change a person...

Love does not necessarily revolve around juz boyfriend-girlfriend love kind of thing...there's also sibling love, family love...the bonds we share with them...there's also something called PUPPY LOVE which is REALLY common among teenagers...believe me...i've seen lots of puppy love relationship...get together...a few months later...break up...yikes...where's the committment man?!?! Love can mean caring for the person as well...

So what is love? Well...what i've juz typed out doesn't necessarily gives you what love is all about...anywayz...tat's all for 2day people...i need to go...mugging time for Promos! Haha. CYA!!

another retarded week...?

Dear diary..this week...something reali weird happened on earth...geez..

B for some reason treated A like A was totally invisible...sheesh!! OH man...wad's B's problem dude? Poor A is havin a test 2morrow...n she's slugging her head off...but she's quite distracted by wad DEAR B did....in fact A looked like she was gonna' blow but thankfully she kept her control. If not i think B wud haf been dead in a few seconds flat...
Sighz...A was quite unhappy...but she put up a strong front n pretended not to notice anything...lookin at B talkin to others n totally ignoring her..if only A could pull herself together...n pray, hope for the best
All through the day A had 2 act like everything was normal...talkin to others like her usual bubbly n natural self...even though deep within her heart she was super disappointed man...after an entire day of school, A walked home...even though she felt like giving a smile to B n sayin goodbye n acted like everything was hunky dory...she couldn't bring herself to do it...
That night...her nice friend Jerold juz told her to not worry abt anything...juz pray n hope...how sweet...A feels marginally more cheerful now..how nice......it looks like she's all geared up for a brand new day now...hoping it wud be much better........

Dear Diary, nxt day? well...this time everything was back to normal...except that A still felt some anger towards B for wad he did to her the previous day...at first A was merely glad n relieved that B was talkin to her again...however as the day wore on...her anger came flooding back...when left alone with him...A walked on reali quick...even though B asked her to slow down, she merely gave him an ice-cold stare n continued on her way. But geez...as we all know...A has never been able to keep her anger at someone for long...by the end of the math lesson she was all back to normal...well...almost...at least this time round she does say goodbye to B n initiates convos with him........guess things r back to normal again Diary...shall keep u updated =) SOON!! i hope...-_-"

Peeps...i'm SOOOOO sorry for the reali reali REALLY late update of my blog. Up to date...well...ok...here's wad's been happening...


Quite awhile back, my school organised a festival...and it goes by the name of Learning Festival. B4 goin any further, lemme tell u a little sth about it...though i think u can already guess. Yup! It's learning. THing is...we dun learn things that we normally learn in classrooms where all the Science n Arts subjects pop up...instead...we learn non-academic stuff...from Manga drawing to Salsa, Volleyball, Hip-hop...yea! It was carried over 2 days...cool huh...so anywayz...

First day: I attended Hip hop n Rock climbing. Man oh man...for rock climbling i climbed till my fingers nearly broke off...n my entire hand shook after that...=P I tried a couple of times...but none of them brought me anywhere near the top...oh well...thank goodness i could still play my piano though..*giggles*
Ooh...after Rock climbing? I attended HIP HOP! Oh yea! Haha. Hip hop was fun! The moves were a lil on the tough side...(esp the part where we hafta remember the moves...oh n up till now? i still can't do the Body Roll...crap!!) Anywayz...we were split into groups n each grp had 2 perform for the rest. For my group, we forgot our moves halfway n we merely improvised all the way through...LOL!!! The rest of them seemed to enjoy it though...as they cheered and laughed at the same time


2nd day: I went for Protect Yourself...yup! We were taught defensive skills...apparently i haf reali weak arms...so yea...when he asked us to punch some kind of cushiony pad...my punch barely made a sound....n for the part where we hafta pair up n practice some moves on each other? My poor partner was so afraid that she might hurt me...cos i AM super skinny n look REALLY fragile after all...hehe...anywayz...she finally got convinced after awhile...n yea...things went on...
OOh...we had VOlleyball after that! I totally blew it...i couldn't even serve the ball properly...n guess wad? I sprained my arm...AHHH!!! THE PAIN!!! *sigh* but it's healed now...thankfully! Oh..i sprained my arm along with my wrist...on my right side...n guess wad? A few months back i sprained the same wrist! Geez....talk about yer' unwanted coincidence...ouchie!!


Hmm...College day!!! YIPPEE! College day college day! We had the AMAZING RACE!!! I can't remember when exactly we had it...but i think it was before Learning Festival...for Amazing race, we were supposed 2 collect items n had 2 complete some tasks around the sch...both inside n OUTSIDE the school...the first task that we did was...blow the ping-pong ball through a given path...we succeeded...after a few FABULOUS n CREATIVE ideas from our class...
Ooh...we took a few photos as well...cos it was part of our tasks...basically it was really fun. We even had a stopover at KFC for lunch n didn't want to leave the outlet...>_>hehe.
